They give off a pretty high amount of radiation. I would not recommend it as a desk piece
@WariceHimSelf
@WariceHimSelf Жыл бұрын
@@unrealcrafter2671 Demonstrative fusors will not give off radiation. The main issue with long run times is risk of overheating (as this system doesn't have a form of cooling) and implosion. Aside from that the vacuum pump is loud and the transformer acts as an electrocution and fire risk so it wouldn't work as a decorative piece anyways

There’s a difference between generating plasma in an enclosed space versus sustaining an active fusion reaction. Absolutely massive pressures and/or a very high power magnetic confinement would be required in order for the hydrogen nuclei to fuse into helium, and that enclosure does not appear to be capable of holding very high pressures nor do there appear to be any robust magnetic confinement equipment present. Shoving deuterium and tritium into container and applying high-voltage in order to achieve ionization does not equate to fusion.

We have all seen glass fail from heating or cooling but a solid metal chamber would not fail that way. I wonder, there are glass sunlamps that get hot and they dont fail. What if we watercooled the fuser you could increase the power and a great way to collect heat.

EVERYBODY STOP SAYING ITS FAKE. Its hard to believe but thats a real working fusion reactor but the catch is there is no output power from it and if there WAS output power I would say its fake too because scientists are working very hard to build real working fusion technology that uses radioactive isotopes and produce output from it (long story) So thats why this is real. THANKS

No usable power. Nowhere close to the efficiency needed. Plus real fusion power generation captures the waste heat from the fusion process to produce steam to drive generators. This experiment helped show people how the process works.

hey mate if your interested check out my fusion reactor prototype. keep in mind I used theoretical work done by lpp fusion when I engineered this prototype. it increases the particle interactions allowing way lower vacuum and power requirement's and produces a high energy fusion reaction and is relatively easy to manufacture and is scalable. there are four videos on my channel this was a no deuterium test run of the first half of the test core and 28 mercury's is the vacuum so there's a major boost in performance if I get a better pump, and materials read the descriptions for more info.
