Why these players estabkish only one front and stick to it? Where is the naval warfare? Where are cavalry raids? Persia literally borders Filthy in the south and could, at the very least, pillage those tiles. Seems very not optimal how they play

I don't like how they nerfed the great wall, it was a good way to stay safe if you were in the middle of the map. I think a better nerf would've been to make it obsolete when the ATTACKING civ researched dynamite.

fanatical workforce is like a +150% boost to your production if you get it on turn 5 and you can basically one-turn most important buildings and zealots are cool imo. despite being summons, they share your form trait, so if you're Athletic, the zealots get 40 movement as well

Every time I watch this I'm yelling SETTLE THE DAMN HILL YOUR WARRIOR IS ON and for some reason he makes the bad decision every time. A way better spot and leaves room for a decent city to the north.

Welcome back Filthy! I know you explained the troubled economics of the channel/industry, but two questions: 1. Do you think finding a new favorite game during this searching period would have majorly changed things, personally or economically? 2. Do you think you'll be able to find another passion for a long phase game? I really enjoy watching game masters who enjoy and get deep into games like you during civ, darkest dungeon, battle brothers and others, but have never found anywhere near the same level of love/enjoyment of a game myself. Sad to hear your struggles, recently I've really enjoyed watching your RPG content even when the games weren't particularly good (early pathfinder) and historically all of the games you have been passionate about. The variety seems to have been rough on you, but you've also said that RPGs aren't good for the channel unfortunately. Big fan of your style, explanations, and discussions of games. Sad that the intense KZbin deep dives, wrap ups, and examinations stopped making sense. I don't even like civ but your explanations of the tier lists were great, let alone when you went into depth in the games I really enjoyed. Also big fan of the multicast, too much lost on twitch to time and KZbin isn't blocked at work for me.

It's crazy that the Egypt player wasn't an AI. They didn't even improve their tiles and built no army despite it being obvious Filthy was out for blood.

No rationnalism games with the mod were the best one for me, you had different ways of getting to the end game, wide/tall/purchasing, and then you really saw the late game eras war wich are the most fun. With rationnalism, you couldn't war if there was at least 3 players competitive because it was always the one that didn't war who won the game, "just" plant 7/8 good cities and then simcity untill end game. Here you have conflict !

Communism would have reduced all tech costs by 15%, saving you 760 science on the cheapest Atomic techs and over 1300 science on the most expensive Info Era techs. I think he was missing 22 techs when he first passed up communism, so taking it then would have made it worth around 20,000 science.
