This is a helpful tutorial. I appreciate the detailed, step-by-step breakdown of each step. However, there was one critical step that wasn’t mentioned until the 5:40 mark. This is where you mentioned the ‘Curry Parts’ being ‘smart objects.’ After scrolling back in the video to the very beginning, I see that the video started with your base layer (image of Curry on the court) already being a smart object. When I start with an image on my base layer in PS, it usually imports as a locked layer. At which time, I unlock it, make a copy, and then work on the copy layer. But I’ve never opened up or imported an image into Photoshop and have it automatically appear as a smart object. I don’t claim to be a superstar expert, but I have been using Photoshop for many years. And I know that you would’ve had to do something to your base layer/image to convert that to a smart object. This seems to be a critical step in your process that was skipped. But maybe I’m wrong? Is it important to have the base layer be a smart object? If so, how would you go about converting an imported .jpg, into a smart object? If not, why was your base layer/image a smart object? What did other people who posted comments, do? Did everyone start off with a .jpg? Or, did you have your base image/layer start as a smart object as shown in the video? Thanks!
@CalSoScopedАй бұрын
To change to a smart object right click the layer and when the HUD comes up “convert to smart object”
