Hi Dr. Moss, How do I gauge if I have a not good, good, or excellent response to interview questions?

It is hard to explain without an example. But the more details you provide with personal examples and lessons learned makes it a better response. Check out my other mock interviews & blog post for examples. medpsycmoss.com/blog/residency-interview-tips-prep

Hello. thanks for your videos ❤. I have a question from you . I want to apply to internal medicine residency. I am an img . I can travel to us . And apply for match with electives with 4 years gap. Or is it better to take a year of research and then apply for match with 5 years of gap ?
@medpsycmossАй бұрын
@@skyrainbow-d6c hello it is not a simple answer. It depends on your whole application and what you are actually doing during that additional year.
@skyrainbow-d6cАй бұрын
@medpsycmoss thanks for your response. Doing a year in research will it help I spend 4 years as a medical doctor in my country
@medpsycmossАй бұрын
@ again it depends on your overall application. But I have seen IMGs be more successful when they spend time in the US getting to know programs, healthcare, and the community. We can talk more specifically about your situation at my advising session: medpsycmoss.com/store

I got hurt extremely badly near the end of medical school from a prescription drug and had to drop out right at the finishline. After 5 years of being couchbound I am right now trying to graduate. Brain damage from toxic encephalopathy with damaged hippocampi, peripheral and autonomaic neuropathy, kidney disease, eye disease, fibromyalgia and myalgic encephalomyelitis and more... Its so hard and there are days I am so frustrated I just want to cry 😭 I dont know if I will ever be able to actually practice medicine, but I am 5 months away from getting my diploma. Beyond that, I live from day to day and try to be grateful for what I do have in my life.

Hello there , I just failed step 1, after that ecfmg they send me this email, they suspend my application to any step exam for a year due to anomalous performance, readiness to test and motivation to pass, I don't know what's wroung, I fail my test due to anxiety, I prepared well but I got so anxious tired during the exams and I run of time and leaving some questions without answering and some of multiple flags,,, so what should I do, I already start to study again, should I wait or this will be more reg flags to get match next year, or changing the whole pass to UK?
@medpsycmoss3 ай бұрын
I am so sorry you struggled with Step 1 and your anxiety. Will they let you submit an appeal to explain your situation and response? Defiantly give your self time to relax and reset before jumping hard back into studying. You can easily burn out.
