People: This is a cover. It is not meant to sound like the original. Chappell covered a song she probably likes and, in doing so, introduced a new audience to this song, which I am sure many of the people have never heard.

I was 19 or 20 years old when this song was released, always loved it, and this version is awesome! Chappell’s voice works well here and one guitarist is doing the work of two, live.

@@FranklinOPT I was 16 when this song was released. I saw them perform this live at least 4 times. Ann Wilson's voice is clearly more impressive and the guitarist rips this to pieces. Don't take my word for it, you can watch any number of live cuts right here on KZbin. I'm not criticizing this thing but cool it with the hyperbole because there's no comparison here and it's definitely not better.

I'm 62. Saw Heart live in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. Had all of their albums. Mad respect for Chappell. She is a flat out super talent. The band also owned the song. Love the lead guitarist channeling Nancy Wilson.

This is Westfair Amphitheater (outdoors), fits around 14 thousand people. She filled it up. And we hope to have her back sometime soon!

That song was written by the Wilson sisters in anger because some journalist called them incestuous lesbians. Not a great delivery anyway, especially in the verses she sounds like Miley Cyrus. I have seen female vocalists in pub bands who can sing this song better.
