As I worked thru this I kept finding triad voicings that work perfectly well with a bass player. This has opened up so much harmonic territory...thx.

And B.B. actually knew where the A B C D E F and G chords are on a guitar. Still it's sacrilegious using a fender while talking about The King

The diagrams with your explanation makes your lessons for understanding guitar playing the best I’ve seen on KZbin.

Ha ha! I was looking at the frets in the video, and then the lively diagram below I thought it went the same direction. I wondered why are they lighting up in the wrong direction. Then, the fret numbers at the bottom, duh

Just watching a master like that gives me chills. BB King can say more with 3 notes than most guitar players can with 300.

I have a simple question - did Eric Clapton know about these Pentatonic scales? I thinks its a myth that he did - I think he taught himself by just listening to others play and then making up his own lead breaks

I dont understand how a minor work in a major chords . Everything depends where you end ? Root notes?
@daft46828 күн бұрын
You totally lost me before the first minute. There is no content anywhere on the internet to bridge between knowing basic open cords and whatever you were attempting to explain. I been at this for 30 years.

The animations are fantanstic for visual learners like myself. I wish I'd had this when I was learning by wearing out records by picking up and putting down the needle a gazillion times. Can't wait to take your online course.

When you grow up around musicians most of these "guitar heroes" just sound mediocre and their advice is stuff you figured out when you were 16.
