Most bands of the 80's talk about Van Halen. Every singer wanted to be David Lee Roth and every guitarist wanted to be Eddie Van Halen. Van Halen set the stage for that big hair and spandex wearing music that followed after. Until Grunge Rock killed it all off!

Taylor Hawkins was definitely channeling Keith Moon that night. I imagine every drummer that covers a Who song knows what he has to do, be Keith Moon for several agonizing minutes of chaotic, mesmerizing, finger bleeding, elbow numbing, rock and roll drumming. And loving it.

So weird how they treated women back on these talk shows like you could tell she was so uncomfortable with being constantly asked the same question about Greg or how she recoiled at the host getting up in her face and how she was constantly sexualized. Just weird to see this as a time capsule of the entertainment industry back in the early 00s

This album and collaboration could go down as one of the most underappreciated expressions ever shared. I agree with the comment from the one guy saying "best rock album out". As a matter of fact this may be the last truly great rock album to be produced.

It's hard for me to accept Carson in his sappy/nice guy modern persona. I was there Carson... I was there 3000 years ago, when you were talking to Sum 41 about strip clubs and judging wet t-shirt contests at spring break

It seems like every day's the same And I'm left to discover on my own It seems like everything is gray And there's no color to behold They say it's over And I'm fine again, yeah Try to stay sober Feels like I'm dying here And I am aware now Of how everything's gonna be fine One day, too late, I'm in Hell I am prepared now Seems everyone's gonna be fine One day, too late, just as well I feel a dream in me expire And there's no one left to blame it on I hear you label me a liar 'Cause I can't seem to get this through You say it's over I can sigh again, yeah Why try to stay sober When I'm dyin' here? And I am aware now Of how everything's gonna be fine One day, too late, I'm in Hell I am prepared now Seems everyone's gonna be fine One day, too late, just as well And I'm not scared now I must assure you You're never gonna get away And I'm not scared now And I'm not scared now, no I am aware now Of how everything's gonna be fine One day, too late, I'm in hell I am prepared now Seems everyone's gonna be fine One day, too late, just as well I am prepared now Seems everything's gonna be fine For me, for me, for myself For me, for me, for myself For me, for me, for myself I am prepared now for myself I am prepared now and I am fine again

2001/2003 were some of the best years of my life, seeing/meeting/talking with these amazing humans. Dolf in particular such a sweetheart and a gentleman. They were such a sight and sound, on and off stage presence, wicked, beautiful and fierce, unforgettable!!! 🙏🏽❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥

Dude… epic. I just watched this after watching a video of Kris playing this song on an acoustic by himself. It’s a little depressing 😔 we’re all getting old. I can’t even imagine being in Kris’ shoes. The lyrics to this song probably hit even harder than when he originally wrote them.

I had been aware of NFG for awhile, but not for this song... it was the music video for "Dressed to Kill", and I loved that song for a long time but never checked out any of their other work... I only kinda discovered this song nearly 2 decades later, and was like... this song is actually way better

I just really wish David Lee Roth had stayed with Van Halen through the '80s. Van Hagar feels more at home in the early '90s.
