What a exciting player just never knew when he would take it to the house
@patrick17142 жыл бұрын
I’ve always known that even with all the guys that came after him, that he was no question the best RB Clemson has had in my lifetime (since 2000). Watching this again. His acceleration/top speed are incomparable to any RB we’ve had since. On the college level I can’t think of a player I’ve ever seen that quick with the strength/balance he had. Jacoby Ford definitely was a show to watch as well, but I can’t comprehend how freaking quick this guy was. As a fan, he has got to be my favorite player to watch that we’ve had. Over Watson, Lawrence, Ettiene, Ellington, you name it. All great, but not this level of exciting.

Man the swing pass against Ga Tech his freshman year. Shook two dudes in a phone booth. He was a revelation at Clemson. The beginning of things getting better. Deserving of the Heisman. My all time favorite football player.

Spiller and Sweeney What great winning examples of talent integrity, and unselfishness equals winners far beyond the field Ever notice how (unashamedly) Spiller went to his knees immediately after he scored? We are thrice blessed And now he’s coaching our “kids” in sports, by examples, , and in life itself👍🙏🏻✌️💒

I have to say his Highlights are amazing!!! Running, Catching, Special Teams, total package. How did he not become an All Pro In The NFL!?!?! I don't really remember his NFL Career, but he sure looked like a can't miss pick here...
@douggainey3 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure he went to at least 1 pro bowl. His Achilles in the NFL was playing in Buffalo

Should’ve won the Heisman tbh
@IntroducingMrLucci Жыл бұрын
Needed more touches for that.
@edoetschedoetsch8 ай бұрын
So true. His presence probably won us 3-4 games we might have lost each year. The type of player that should get a Heisman.

Best rb we have ever had. I love Etienne but I think Spiller was better.
@douggainey3 жыл бұрын
Eh not really the same type of backs. They both had elite burst and top end speed. But CJ was more elusive, quick if you will. ETN more run through power than elusiveness... I'd be willing to bet he has more broken tackles that Terry Allen and likely most of the NCAA RBs in history

Don’t get me wrong - I absolutely love Etienne but CJ was on an entirely different level. He WAS Clemson for 3 years. He’s not just a top 3 RB in Clemson history, he’s a top 3 athlete in Clemson history.

I remember being at the Ball St game back in '09 to start the season...and once he crossed the 50 it was one of the most electric, thunderous, moments I've ever seen,heard, and been a part of...we were all like "Already? It's Spiller time!" The only moment that was louder/bigger that I was at the game for was another Spiller moment....his breakout game against GT in 2006 you could actually feel the stadium reverberating that night...magical!

Sad to see his NFL career never took off, the bills didn't use him like he was meant to be used, he was mostly injured while playing for the saints. the seahawks have younger guys, I think he should just hang up the cleats and call it a day. probably will be seen as a bust which the bills and his injuries are to blame for.
@nisha87767 жыл бұрын
JustGersie bills did use CJ spiller a lot he just got injured and moved to the Saints so

they did use him right in 2012, then chan gailey left and he was not used right anymore, and his injuries prevented him from being great of course
