I bought the Higher Ground album when it came out and this CD was an extra attachment to the package. As good as the Album is, I always liked this cover better. Great cover. A few months ago we saw Patti Smith. That's an experience. See her if she's in the area go with no expectations. Anything can happen. She did play this and it was great.

I CAN'T BELIEVE as an absolute fan and follower of the best and only decade of real music there ever was and ever could be (the 1980s) I'd never EVER ever heard of this song before or him, and I'd thought I'd long discovered all of what there was left to find. I'm shocked. I've also only just found out he's from that overrated annoying band Talking Heads. Equally badly the single didn't even do anything in the UK-yet something like Farnham's 'You're The Voice' and rubbish Starship, Bon Jovi, slagdonna, Tina Turner and Atlantic Starr make sure they get their naff songs into artificially high positions. Oh well, that's life, always was.

Hey Whammo, I don't know if you're gonna see this, but I thought you might enjoy this information considering you said this is one of your favorite songs. I gathered information about this band. G. America was a local band from Boise, Idaho. This is a track from their album "Fake Love." Today, I got in contact with the band's leader, Grant Olsen. He has the entire album on CD still and plans to put it on Bandcamp soon!!

Visão geral Letras Ouvir If you go down to Hammond You'll never come back In my opinion you're On the wrong track We'll always love you but That's not the point If you go with that fella Forget about us As far as I'm concerned That would be just Throwing yourself away Not even trying Come on you're lying to me Well I went down to Hammond I did as I pleased I ain't the only one Who's got this disease Why don't you face the fact You old upstart We fall apart You'd be okay if you'd Just stay in school Don't be a fool Do your eyes have an answer To this song of mine They say we meet again On down the line Where is on down the line How far away? Tell me I'm okay If you go down to Hammond You'll never come back

I've never been a huge fan of Jane's Addiction, but their cover of Ripple by the Grateful Dead isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'm still not a big fan of Jane's Addiction, however.

Found a much better, less produced version of this tune on an old iPod... It's one of my most favorite songs of all time... Definitely similar but so much more soul and less of a reggae back beat.

A beautiful song originally written for the Everly Brothers and recorded by them in 1958. The song was written by the prolific husband and wife songwriting team Boudleaux and Felice Bryant. The version by the Everlys is sheer perfection.

I think this song is absolutely HILARIOUS! I love how the squares lost their fucking MINDS when they heard this. And The Damned were laughing the whole time. This should've stayed in the setlist for decades.
