I like the idea of helping people in the mental health field but I’m not sure if I can do all the driving around to people’s houses. I’ve been looking into macro social work but idk if I’ll still be able to help with mental health stuff there. Anyways ty for the video. As an undergrad it was helpful!

yes that is amazing we need more social workers for our youth congratulations and i attend DSU in Delaware. I received my BS in Psychology. I am current enrolled in college for my masters in ABA. Good luck with everything you will be an amazing social worker.

Hi virtual bestie ! Why are you considering dropping out ? Is the work load to stressful ? lack of time? Not interested in the material ? & I am currently in Grad school & the struggle has been real lol I would say discipline & sacrifice ! I wake up a hour earlier I ask for extra help with my daughter when I need it . I spend less time on social media

@@tesharozell hey, I just honestly don't feel it would be worth it or pay off for me. I dropped a few days ago. I already have two degrees yet I still have never made more than $22 an hour. Nobody needs a degree to make 22 an hour... I've been looking for a new job for months unsuccessfully. I just couldn't see myself reading textbooks, going to class, doing assignments and papers, interning and working for the next 2 years. I had enough of that in undergrad. I'll just have to figure something else out

This video inspired me!! Im currently a nurse and pushing pills in long term care facilities just isnt doing it for me anymore. I want to feel like im actually making a difference to someone so im starting my degree in social work next semester :) Do you ever feel scared to be alone with your client's in their home?

Thank you for being a nurse and giving back I know it’s not easy ! & that is sooooo exciting I am wishing you look and positivity ! I know you will be a great social worker ! That is a great Question. To be honest I would say it’s very rare that I do get scared in my clients home due to the fact that they know I am here to help. ! However as a woman I listen to my intuition the client who are very mentally ill I ask a co worker or supervisor to tag an along with me ! That helps a lot !
