Awesome, gorgeous and breathtaking views. I had plans to go to Niagara Falls twice but they didn’t materialize. What a bummer, as it seems I missed a great time. Oh well, maybe one day I’ll make it there. Fingers crossed 🤞.

@@derekandjonathan my spouse (who has long hair) had one question. The shower. We noticed only two pumps inside the shower. Body wash and shampoo? No conditioner? Just trying to ensure we pack what she needs! Thanks again!

We can't remember exactly, but we also like to use conditioner lol and we didn't bring any so at the very least the shampoo on the ship in the pump dispenser is a conditioner combo. Jonathan seems to think there was a third pump with conditioner...but we're not 100% sure.

Even better… plan ahead to sacrifice the day prior, sleep during the day, and start the hike around midnight. No navigating the frightened or unprepared adventurers on the cables, and you get to watch the sunrise on the summit. 💪🏼

Great video, gentlemen! How many days did this trip take you? We’re headed there in May, 2025, but starting at the southern end and heading north, for various reasons. You mention different rv parks, so did you overnight then spend a day in an area before moving on? We are planning two full days in the Brookings area, then moving to Yachats to spend two days exploring north to Newport and two days exploring south to Florence. The last two fulls days will be spent near Astoria/Ft. Stevens. Looking forward to following your travels!

Hi there! First off, thanks so much for watching - we so appreciate it :) Your trip sounds amazing - it's almost exactly what we did but in reverse. We spent 2 nights at each RV park and explored north/south from that location before moving on to the next. Two full days in Brookings is a GREAT idea - it's the one place we really wanted more time. Hi there! You can absolutely go back on the ship at any time during the overnight stays. There's definitely no need to find an additional place to stay on the islands - your stateroom is always available to you at any time and you can get in and off the ship whenever you want during those stops 😊

We were excited to see another gay couple out RV’ing and enjoying beaches, mountains, national parks, and hiking. We’ve followed along since then, and have shared your site with friends. We too got married in 2017, but have actually been together since 1998. When we saw you use your cell phones to talk to one another in the back-up process we felt like idiots for not having thought of that ourselves. Hi, I am taking NCL Hawaii cruise very soon, do you know if they can hold a drone for you while on the cruise ship, till you get to the next planned destinations? Trying to finalize what to do on this upcoming cruise, I thought that your video, was very helpful and informative. Thanks.

Hi there, thanks so much for watching! Technically, I don't believe NCL actually allows drones on board. That's according to their website policies, at least. Regardless, we did bring our drone (DJI Mini 3 Pro, so small drone) on board in our camera bag. I wouldn't say we "snuck" it in. We simply brought it - there was no effort to hide it. We can only speak for our experience here and can't guarantee that you won't have any issues bringing your drone on board. We're not sure if NCL would hold the drone for you - it might be worth calling them to ask. We also didn't use the drone anywhere near the cruise ship or any of the ports. As for restrictions on the islands, drones are restricted in some areas (like national parks, protected areas, state parks, etc). You should research every single location where you intend to fly a drone to familiarize yourself with local restrictions.

You might be right - that little elevator is veryyy small and you're in there for 4 full minutes. I can definitely see how anyone with claustrophobia would be triggered there. Thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰

That was too claustrophobic with so many people trying to see outside tiny windows. I always thought the arch was just there, didn’t realize one could go up it for a viewing platform.

Yea, we definitely wouldn't go up again. The little elevator is even more claustrophobic than the top of the arch. We wanted to show what that whole experience is really like. Lots of people, not glamorous, and arguably not worth it either. Thanks for watching!!

We did this itinerary in 2024. Because we have been on bigger , newer, nicer ships. THIS ONE IS DEFINITELY NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT!!! it's about the destination. The islands are incredibly beautiful. People are so nice. We excursions on every island. From shark cage diving to helicopter rides.
