Especially when he can take this song written by Ian Tyson and make it his own, I believe Ian is proud of this version.

It is thrilling and almost overwhelming to see and hear all these EXCELLENT musicians, a "Tour de Force," gracing one stage. The beautiful, moving song they perform, "4 Strong Winds," really touches the heart, and every musician is 100% into the song and the perfect performance of it.

Im a filipino and when I was young I hear this song because my mom used to play this every now anf then. Now I'm 42 and I lived in Alberta Canada for 17 years didn't realized that Neil Young is a canadian until I search his name in google long time ago. It was so surreal hearing this song when I was a kid and still loving it until now.

I first heard this tune via The Kingston Trio during the 50s & 60s folk craze, and I've yet to hear a bad version. That's a quality of great songs. Personally, I favor the Ian and Sylvia Tyson version, although this is certainly a fine one. (Nothing like going to the source!)
