Before the Klamath's extended Duraflame chapter in Stockton, Earth island Institute was in discussions with Walter Landor and his family about the wild idea of their giving the Klamath to Earth Island Institute for its offices, at the Klamath's longtime berth at Pier 3-1/2. That would have been such an adventure, but it was too much for Earth Island to undertake at that early stage in its organization. I can't wait to go see her (proper pronoun?) before long.

More people are balking at the cost of higher education as they see friends or family members saddled with debt from the pursuit of that college degree. Speaking of course curation, are we working with the industry to figure out their future hiring needs, so the courses and certifications can meet those requirements? More importantly, will students be equipped with tools they need to adjust as market and industry trends change? We need to teach specific skills, but we also need to teach young people how to learn and adjust.

Why would you have to turn people away from a Zoom mtg? The intro guy is not credible. The so called Southern Crossing has been discussed since the 1970s. It has been 50 years since BART opened and it still doesn't reach San Jose. Marin and San Mateo Counties are still largely inaccessible by linked transit. Fix that first. Big ideas. Small results. All resources are spent on planning and consultants. This presentation largely a waste of money.

California droudht problem can be a easy fix. We spend $$BILLIONS$$ on illegals a years. If we control our borders and use the BILLIONS to build desalination plants. That would help with the drought issue for decades. Desalination plants will also fixed the global warming issue because it can help control the sealevel.

The job-to-home ratio is really high (too many jobs per existing home) in California urban areas which correlate to high home prices. Then suburban sprawl extends outward until there is affordability. Those sprawled areas become developed, commercial areas come in, and then the job-to-home ratio rises pushing people out more. It seems like we are chasing our tail.
