Although I don't usually sell my tools sometimes I do, however this is a keeper at the price I paid, just one of those extremely important items that I'm sure will be called upon in the future.

My guess is that the bar would be more than up to the task you describe. Plus, the method you mentioned of chipping away at whatever you're trying to break out / up works best, with switching between chisel and point as needed. But you do need a certain level of fitness and strength to wield the bar - pounding away soon takes its toll on the user; I really start to feel it in the shoulders if I get carried away - so slow and steady wins the race. And I can confirm that, yes, you can really put some muscle behind the bar when using it to pry / lever out an object, I've used it with all my weight as a pry-bar, and I'm the wrong side of seventeen stone.

@@wightworld1809 i ran a tree surgery company for many years, Bahco or Sandvic are the only loppers I bought. We mainly used the anvil type

Just checked FRJones and son for you and they are doing the same offer Husqvarna 122HD60, plus safety glasses and ear defenders for 198. Can personally vouch for FRJones & Son, as bought all my other equipment from them.

Really well. As mentioned above, only using it as intended right now - in a domestic capacity - but would still totally recommend. it's all too easy to knock off the plastic bit that covers the start bar handle, but just as easy to clip back on. Don't know if I mentioned in the post, but have an LC551VBP sitting in it's box in the shed and will be unboxing and reviewing that at some point in the future?

Sorry for taking so long to reply, which model did you go for in the end? As you say, main difference engine and variable speed, plus a slightly bigger collector box on the LC347V, too. Both straddle small to medium gardens, same composite deck, same cutting width and height and both designed for more demanding use. Yes, still very positive about it having owned it a while now, although it's still 'only' being used in a domestic capacity - what it's intended for - so can't say how it'll hold up to commercial abuse?

My father had a predecessor ( possibly 35 years ago now)of this mower the old royal 48s it was a great lawnmower and he used it for about 10 years and I found one second hand for £80 and in good condition about 14 years ago and I got a further 8 years out of it. Hopefully these newer range of B&S engines will last as long, time will tell.

@@612morrison Amazing! Although can imagine their longevity was helped by you and your father knowing how to care and maintain them? Not sure if Briggs & Stratton aren't encouraging neglect with their Just check & add engines? As you say, only time will tell

Hey, Lelia. I love it. I spent a lot of time researching which unit to go for & it pretty much came down to a two horse race between this Husqvarna unit & the Makita 4 stroke MM4 in the end. But in the end the Husqvarna won through & I'm glad it did too. How are you finding it?

@@wightworld1809 funny because I'm actually looking at the same two units as well... I like Makita mm4 engines. I think the power head has much higher vibrations than the husqvarna. Husqvarna do seem to do a very good job on keeping their machines fairly quiet and low vibration I find. How are you finding it?
