No matter what opinions you may have on China, that country gave tea to all the world. I’ve learnt so much about tea culture like it was the buddhist monks who took matcha to Japan from China, but the powder form became antiquated there and kept evolving. China has always been the most important figure in tea in all of the world, they basically created it as we know it today in western world with the tea bags. You can’t dismiss thousands of years of culture just because of political opinions or whatever thing made that guy comment that. This channel is truly a work of art and I thank the guy who does these videos for sharing the amazing culture.

Is it possible for a tourist to ever visit these spots if you are willing to take that long journey, or do you kinda have to know a local to really get tapped into the good teas when you visit?

They dont actually allow people to own property, i believe its something about feudalism. Landowning families would lease land for a set amount of time.

I keep around tea bags for a quick "everyday" tea when I'm having a busy morning at work, but for good tea when I have time it's 100% stuff bought directly from importers. The difference is obvious in look, smell, and taste.

Oh no how come u didn’t know about the spout… so people do check the water flow of the teapot for quality of it

With a 1000 year lease, you effectively owned the property. The original lease for guinness's brewery at James's, gate in Dublin was for 9000 years ( I think, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.)😊

Allow me to add one point when u mentioned about the reason why the handicraft isn’t being replaced by machines. I was surprised to hear u say that since you have been in China for awhile now and still not knowing certain local aspects. I can’t say I know this with no errors however, the point of making money is important, but taking care of people who will have jobs and have a place in the society is very important if not equally important. No everything is about efficiency and monetary gain, per se. That’s why art schools exist. As well as heritage skills, farm to table… small business owners are being taken care of.

Why this sound like Chinese instructions or like Chinese wrote the script for the AI voice. Hot water causes the AIR inside the teapet to expand out. Putting it in water causes the air to contract and suck in water

Leasehold property has an underlying landlord where the leaseholder need to pay annual rent..usually, one landlord may have several flats in a building sold as leasehold..this is not medieval BS ..it's some new BS to make more money out of a property..

If I had the money, I'd have a pot made of silver. But if I had a silver pot, I'd be hesitant using it for boiling water. I just wouldn't want to make a single dent or scratch on it. I guess there are people who are loaded enough to not care if the pot gets a couple of dents.

I would have loved to see you take a train instead of a plane. Flying emits so much carbon and seeing this, while there is such a great train system in China makes me kinda sad. I am worried about our future… Maybe you could try to set an example as an influencer by taking a train next time :)

The first few seconds looked like pure suffering haha. But honestly all there you would do is probably nice because it just looks beautifull. Maybe you can find some dishes that where served with tea? Definetly get some shots from local enviroment and maybe traditions?
