If you're a metalhead and were transported to the 12th century, this would be your favorite music in existence. These guys have been shredding for millennia!

The Morin Khuur is one of my most favorite instruments. Its box-shape, horse-shaped head (In honor of Mongolia's equestrian heritage), and extraordinarily beautiful sound. It is built in a country whose cultural is absolutely beautiful. 🇲🇳

During the 1990 s , in Mongolia , students came to study a Morin khuur, huumii, long songs from Inner Mongolia, Buriad and other nations. Some of them invited our teachers to their countries for teaching a morin khuur, long songs, huumii and contortions. From that time, our culture spread speedly.
Hello, I just boght a Morin Khuur. I am a professional violonist. Obviously this Morin Khuur is ment for decoration . So I am trying to reset all the parts...and I have my doubts about the strings. Nylon? Horse hair? Should I use a cello bow? Where do I but the bridge? How high? Could you please help me please?

Is it possible to switch the male and female string the other way around for a left handed player? As in, is it difficult to restring a Morin Khuur?
@wtftode7 жыл бұрын
Sakura Moon No. You just take off the strings, switch the tuning legs so they're mirrored, and then you restring. Low string always is on the high peg, high string on the lower peg.
