Oh my god, feels like Stin and the band are the coolest guys in the world, apart from being my favorite band currently. Good to know they will be in Paris next April, I'd give a lot to share a coffee with you around La Maroquinerie. I love that you are "middle aged" and playing this fantastic music, and I want to acknowledge the band's sound: man, "cool world" sounds absolutely incredible and you do not need any fancy studio or producer, you do already an amazing job AND I wish you a massive success that allows you to have the experience - and ultimately realize how great you were already from the very beginning. ❤

Found out about world of pleasure first then mortality rate....I know she says that she sounds the same in both bands but I cant help but think otherwise. In WOP, she has more of a projectile scream and slightly higher pitches where as mortality rate it has more of a old school gritier hardcore sound to it. Both bands are awesome

Their album, Full Eclipse, is absolutely fantastic. Omg, such memories of walking to high school and listening to them.

I remember opening in Seattle for JL when I was I in a band called Truly. That was the Goat tour when they were the “two guys from Scratch Acid” band. I was 21, I’m 55 now. Jeez. I went on to see them every time they came to town for years.

Please stop asking Duane about his time playing with Scratch Acid 💀 Enjoying the interview otherwise.

Just saw them in Berkeley a few weeks ago. This band was a flawless discography. A batting average of 1.000. First saw them with Sick of it all, Boy Sets Fire and Death by Stereo back in 2001. I saw them so many times in the early 00's. Great time for HC and my life in general haha

I enjoyed your interview. I met Tom after an Instruction show when they were opening for Helmet. He could not have been a cooler nicer guy. I really punished him with questions. Hope he's doing well and still playing!

This is one of the best interviews I've ever heard from a musician thet I'm hige fan of. I love the stories of the creation, development and mentality of the band. How they approach the music and the transmition of their music being the most important part of whst they do. I saw that last night when they played with Dying Fetus at El Corazón in Seattle. The crowd was 10/10 and Dylan had a massive grin the entire show. You can't be inti this music and not love FOH and Dylan's enthusiasm.

I can't tell you what a joy it is to listen to Nate's voice and well thought out way of tell our history. So many others somehow make the stories flashy, and or opinionated, not the memory palace. Listening is like taking a walk with someone who takes you by the hand gently takes you through a memory/ story. Yet leaves you thinking and wanting more in the silence at the end as you smile and quietly walk away. There has never been a more needed time for calm and reflection. I want to Thank you, Nate, for the unique and wonderful work you do.

Hey Keith, i bought your book scale at the most run down venue in Pennsylvania, planet trog, and i just want to say, i read the book, loved it. I was glad you had it there so i could buy it from the artist himself! It did not seem like a weird shift to buy your book
