I think it is fine for anybody to enjoy participating in an activity of another culture without anybody starting to point fingers about where it came from. Having fun this way is healthy. But ai did go to this Renaissance Festival in Sterling Forest and this is not a good place for kids. There is too much sexualization and the kids felt uncomfortable and they also complained that it was an open air shopping mall where if you wanted to participate in half the stuff you had to pay more. And there were creepy folks swaggering around wearing leather and chain outfits that kids shouldn’t have to see.

Even though Eddie Jeff had a mostly frustrating relationship with technology (lol) I am so glad that we have videos like this to go back to. He was an inspiration to me. What a guitar player. What a singer. What a man.

i just discovered your channel today and i am now a subscriber. my wife and i were wed 25 years ago at a place called scarborough faire renaissance festival in waxahachie (pronounced exactly like it's spelled, oddly enough) and have been renfest enthusiast for years and years. i like the look of the nyrf, very nice. strangely, our faire has been developed into more of an urbanized medieval setting. seeing your videos of brother donald almost broke my heart, he was one of my favorites but the faire gave him the boot so they could give his space over to a game that made more money for the faire. i was particularly wondering if an act called the flaming idiots ever traveled to your neck of the woods. they were the best comedy jugglers we've ever had. anyway, i look forward to looking through your other videos. i've scanned a few looking for brother donald and saw one or two names familiar to us down in north texas. i'm hoping to find a few more.

Hi Sara it’s Rick from Hillsboro. I’m better now. Do want to grab dinner and some wine. I’m knot looking 👀 for a hookup just friends. How’s Buddha treating you. God is in love with us. I’m going through my pictures and videos of the kids in my house right now. I’ll be waiting. Did you know there’s a Sarah wendt piano player. Check her out. You’re still my favorite artist besides Tori Amos.

I used to love the maypole dance at primary school. Little did I know I was part of the ancient tradition of Phallic fertility worship.

No it isn't - Victorian twaddle. Nothing to do with fertility rites or any such nonsense. Simply a focal point for the community.

People who allow archaic dogma created by False Religions to dictate their lives have far less fun than those who simply Follow Source. Pagan simply means of the Earth. Just because a ritual is "pagan" doesn't invalidate it or make it demonic. The Maypole Dance was about learning chivalry and courtesy to your fellows, as well as being a fun way to meet, greet and, yes: court your potential partners. However, in today's society, we need the lessons in chivalry and courtesy more than ever before.
@YorkyOne6 ай бұрын
@@crptnite The maypole dance was about young people of the opposite sex holding hands, circling the maypole and having a good time. 'Dance about both in and out, Turn and kiss, and then for greeting' (1630).
