Hey buddy the other day a red engine system light popped up on my vehicle. Do you know what that mean and I also noticed that during cleaning only one line appears now it would usually clean on three or four lines but now only one is popping up

Hi bigroy. For eng sys warning you should scan with diagnostic tool from obd, read fault codes and description, otherwise we will never know where to start from. From your described symptoms probably the dpf pressure sensor is faulty, or the pipes from the dpf to the sensor are clogged by carbon, this sensor is located in the middle of the chassis, 2 black rubber pipes connected from the dpf, it has a 4 pin socket (12v, high can and low can bus) is a common fault from around 50k miles. This will cause current faults about differences in pressure on dpf, or too high or too low dpf pressure, or anything correlated with dpf/scr pressures data/ components... And wrong readings from dpf pressure gauge on dash.

He buddy yesterday I took my truck for a oil change and mind you my truck was running perfect driven at least 200 miles with absolutely no problems well after the oil change a red engine system light came on Immediately they finished I asked they guy multiple time have you done a Fuso before and he says yes now my truck has a bright red engine system light on with a no stop beep can you please tell me what possibly could be the problem my truck was well maintained.

This video is showing esactly the solution for your problem, the engine contr unit keep counting a simulation of the soot content in the oil, once it reaches over 1000grams it will activate the eng syst light warning on dash, you can reset it with xentry diagnostic or a bosh, but u can also reset the value back to 0 manually: With ignition off keep the acellerator down, turn ignition on and pump brake pedal down and up like every 3 seconds, the eng syst light will start flashing, keep pumping the break for at list 7 to 10 times. switch ignition off. Start engine, warning will be gone. If does not work try again. It has to work.

@@MyTake0921 Try reset with the pedals, if the warning does not goes off, plug off the batteries for 5 minutes, then connect back on, if the fault does not goes off need scanning and see what's the current fault code.. let me know..

Hi. It is called breather diagphram, the actual breather filter is a metal sponge inside the rocker coverer after this rubber.

Correct me if I'm wrong, on Stralis there are 2 fuel filters and 1 pre-filter? Someone told me 1 filter is under the engine, and the other 2 are showed in this video, in total it's 3 fuel filters? And for Eurocargo it's just two, 1 main and 1 pre-filter? Also under the Stralis I found the air filter for the turbine, do you know if even Eurocargo has it? Thank you man

The cursor fit only 2 fuel filters, pre fuel with water sensor and fuel before the pump, maybe there are different versions with some added filters. For Eurocargo engines there are not air filters for turbo only, just a normal air filter for the turbo and air inlet.

For this fleet we change the pre filter every 4 years, or when air caused from leaks gets in, the main filter every year.

When the pad become thinner the fricton- material gets so hot that it become hard like glass worning the disk more fast, breking less and in some cases crumbling and even coming off from the steel back plate. Thats why M-B maintenance system will required the brakes pads replacement also with 0 miles, after few years. This is to prevent a brake pads damage caused by the exposure to the humidity in the air.

Good evening, I have an Atego 1024 where the coolant temperature is on average 80 degrees. I managed a maximum of 83 degrees under load. The thermostat has already been replaced twice. Do you have an idea what the error could be? or is that normal?

@prollitrolli your truck should open at 72/ 74 degrees, be carefull when buying a new one, there are many options, from 60 to over 100 degrees, for vehicles that are supposed to work in very cold weather it must open later, instead hot places earlier. Immagine been in a place where the temperature is - 30C and your termostat open at 70C the heater matrix radiator will be always too cold to heat up the cab and the engine will never reach the right working temp in the block. Mini cooper termostat opens at 110C, ok for north EU but immagine what would happen to that cooling fan in central Africa.

Hi @adamissah, those faults are very common and both are correlated to the inlet nox sensor unit. I personally whould just change the inlet nox sensor, (inlet nox sensors are with black plugs, outlet white plug,) then force a dpf regeneration with graphic illustrated, print the graphic and the report of sucessfully completed regen to prove the functionality of the scr components. 99% of the times is just the sensor faulty, the other 1% of the times is a wire breaking from the acm to the sensor or the acm faulty, to find or prove the failure of those you need do a load test from the nox socket terminals and check for voltages drops.. a bit long to explain. Genuine merc nox sensor last 3 years, aftermarket only 1 year, a good tip is any m-b truck/bus nox sensor from 2017 to 2024 fit and work, don't matter the vehicle model, just make sure the wires are long enough. Sensors and control units are costantly comunicating throug can busses, eliminating the dialog between those will not cause any engine or fuel consumption problems, but with the time if temperatures and pressures in the exhaust system are not real this can cause a dpf bloccage and break the turbo, those little turbo pieces can go back into the inlet from the egr pipe and damage the engine. Another reason for not doing this is that is illegal. Obviusly if the vehicle is old and you don't want to spend much money for repairs it can be a provvisional solution. My only question is how this exhaust system will be able to complete a dpf regeneration if the outlet nox sensor must give a spike of nitrogen gas for 15 minutes after 30 minutes regen. Ask to whoever is doing this modific to show you the vehicle completing a regen without showing faults on dash otherwise do not pay, ask them to put everything as it was.

Put ignition on press the acellerator pedal then keep pressing and releasing the brake pedal every 2 seconds till the eng syst light disappear, otherwise need scan and read faults codes
Yeas at the end I changed the pump, after forcing regen the fault come back and the pressure was lower than 5 bars. Once fitted the new pump the fault disappeared for good

MCM. Fault 1B0007: Component Y621 (egr controller) has a mechanical fault. All the atego's around 50k miles need a new egr, do not waste time cleaning, need new one.

Disconnect the batteries for 2 minutes, once you connect back on check if it goes back on neutral, if not 90% of the times is the second gear rod broken, remove the TCM, see inside gearbix if the rods pins are aligned and firm, if one of those are loose and free is definetly broken inside, need remove gearbox strip it and change the broken rod, if the rods are stiff and aligned is the tcm faulty, very rare but possible.

I need to change oil to the manual transmission for Eurocargo and Stralis. I understand there's no filters, but from a quick glance I saw many bolts, I hope I don't take off the wrong ones, I have to look again. Is it only 1 fill bolt and 1 drain bolt? New oil is filled until reaches fill bolt? Also there are probably washers on the bolts, I don't know how to get the part number

In all the manual gearboxes the drain plug is the only one underneath with washer, the washer does not need replacing, the fill up plug on the side of the gearbox is always at 1/3 of the height of the gearbox and has the same hallen key size of the draining plug, stop filling when the oil start spilling from the filling hole, I'm about to makea video about it, but are only mercedes zf gearboxes, very similar to eurocargo and stralis, Ill try to share those vids tonight.

These days it's important to save some bucks... if the world wasn't going to shit with the cost of living I would be happy to give the job to a mechanic. The last thing I would need is to see how to open the dash for the cabin air filter, I was told it's a pain in the ass for the smaller Eurocargos. The manual doesn't say ANYTHING about the cabin filter

@@LinkinPark4Ever1996 All Eurocargos I know before 2019 are without steering filter, but if a European truck has one it will be inside the steering fluid bottle with a big round lid, all of those fit a similar filter.

Yeas expecially on trucks with metal fuel tanks, probably because condensation creates the right enviroment for those tho thrive in the fuel, there are diesel antifungus products on the market for preventing this from happening.

The prefuel filter housing has a manual pump to press on top, but I don't use it because it builds rust on the rod and it can damage the seals and start giving problems after pressing it, I suggest to fill up the new filters with fuel before fitting them and for sure it will start with no issues, if it struggle give to it a little shot of easy start or brake clutch cleaner on the air filter box inlet before crank.

Some gearbox modes are with 2 drain plug where you can dain opening only one of those, the only filter to be changed every 2 years is a tiny air filter in the TCM inlet air supply, need remove the air line fitting on the gearbox control unit the filter is inside and can cause problems if not changed in time.

After the regen on my antos it comes up with poor quality adblue engine power reduce. Mercedes are shit motors and yes it been to merc garages and our mechanic still no joy.

I'm so sorry about that. Tell them if the ad blue pump is spinning but give low pressure, there is a tiny filter inside the ad blue filter house, accessible only removing the outlet pipe and then screwing off the fitting. It gives a lot of problems.

Our mechanic doesn’t think that is the problem,but it’s in for a service and mot next week. It will then go to the Mercedes garage to see if they can work this out. Yesterday it went into limp mode or reduce speed, the mechanic put the laptop on clearing the codes and it’s working again but that doesn’t fix the problem.

With the oil in the boost pipe. Says turbo oil seal gone . Causing engine to runaway. Still could have been over fueling causing cylinder to hydraulic. At speed this would have thrown a leg out too
