What weight is it rated to hold? Is this climbing gear or could it be used to haul material under 300lbs

Step one: eliminate the alarm .. step two: save the dieing ? Makes sense .. who could save lives with an alarm going off

How is the victim attached to the rescuer?

Why not just give the ID to the rescuer and let him control his own descent?

Once they grab the victim, they need their hands to hold on and are no longer able to access the device due to it being sandwiched between the rescuer and the victim. Therefore, they must be lowered.

The additional 2:1 is pulling on the original 2:1 as an isolated sub-system. The third leg of line from the initial 3:1 going directly to the load remains unaltered, and still only applies 1 unit of tension, therefore we have a 2x2:1 + 1:1 = 5:1

For the fire fighters tbo, they make this plastic board that you can put on their back with a cut out for the tank. Then they drag easy. Not sure about stairs though. I have one in my classroom for training. But no matter what device, that is hard work. I thank all of you who do this training. The next life you save might be one of us!
