I’m at Witt’s end trying to figure out what’s going on. I’ve replaced the purge control valve and solenoid on the canister and and I still have stalling only after I get gas. Also replaced the gas cap. This is driving me to sell the truck as I can’t find what’s wrong. Could this be the issue you’re showing?

VERY helpful video thanks and button smashed. I personally would not install a new compressor without flushing the system before connecting the lines. There's no way to know if the old compressor has been shedding metal or not without a test. Denatured alcohol is my go to flushing fluid. Cheap, effective. Many long term successful AC repairs with it. Once done and the lines are reconnected I install a new receiver dryer and then I do a nitrogen pressure test to make sure there are no leaks. If no leaks vacuum down the system and finally add any necessary oil and lastly freon as needed. At 10 years you enter the time frame when evap cores begin to fail. Usually between 10 and 14 years depending on how much junk has been drawn into the evap box and is around the aluminum core. The Nitrogen pressure test makes sure you aren't redoing this job too soon due to leaks because usually if there are imminent leaks the pressure will expose them. Not too much pressure or you'll create leaks that didn't exist.

When you're driving do you have the traction control on or off? And the sensor is located on the evap canister. Gotta remove the canister to get to it, or remove the driver side rear tire and plastic fender liner to go through the side.

Thank you for posting this. Mine ended up getting damaged because the heat shield is missing. It looked new. Unfortunately, the person who put it on probably forgot the heat shield. I will have to buy a new heat shield in addition to buying a new canister.

For those irritated that no one shows the cover actually being pulled out, it is possible in the car. Lower the engine just slightly down, roughly 1 inch, this allows the bottom of the timing cover to be tilted away from the engine, and allows clearance past the oil slinger on the oil pump. Hopefully this saves someone the 2 hours i just wasted trying to get it out once it was free.

Try leaving comment on your Malibu “gasket” replace for the oil pan. Is it normal for it to leak oil before the 24 hours are up? I let the seal dry for hour and half before putting oil pan back but oil leaked over night. Seems like it stopped but not sure if fixed or cuz no oil left to drip lol
