Do you have a color and wash list?
@modelandtoyworkshop18 күн бұрын
I usually use Vallejo, or AK interactive paints. Both of these companies have sets you can pick up for flesh tones, and Uniforms. I recently picked up the Vallejo model color face and skin tone set from Amazon. A excellent book to pick up, out of many is the AK Flesh and Skin book. As for washes, the Army Builder paint has a excellent flesh wash, that I use for flesh, and tan uniforms, there is also a green wash you can pick up as well, for European, and Pacific theater uniforms. Of course there are many other companies, with many other paints and washes to try out. For the skin I used dark, medium, and light Vallejo flesh, and you can wash it with the army builder flesh tone. The uniform was the Vallejo dark green, and green gray. The belt was a desert tan, but you can use Vallejo Khaki, or even white, then darken them up with the army builder green, or (flesh wash for the straps/belt). Eyes white, then the color you want them. Camo is 2 different shades of green, and two different shade of brown. After you put the wash on, you’ll most likely have to go back over the figure with a light tone of the paint after you flat coat it. I’ve been using Rust oleum flat coat, and it’s been doing fine. There are some more recent figures that are 1/10 scale that I’ve done, that go into more detail. Specifically the WW2 Soldier with a dog (MJ miniatures), and the Templar Sergeant (Andrea miniatures). I have quite a few other under the Bolt action tabletop gaming paint tutorial playlist. I show the paint I use, and say what I’ve used in the newer videos. The older videos had no talking, just typing

@ Another book that has been helpful through the years, that also goes back to using oil paint on the figures is the book ( Building and Painting Scale Figures by Sheperd Paine). Scale modeling handbook #13. I’m not sure if you can still find that book though. Maybe EBay

I been curious about that backing clay, does it have a texture or is it smooth like plastic and can it be sanded cut after cured
@modelandtoyworkshop2 ай бұрын
@@brianlewis6926 It’s kind of like the Army builder modeling clay, except it is smoother. It can be sanded, but cutting it is a little rough. You definitely have to work it, to get it the way you want it. I’ve only used it for sand bags, stones, and now crockery.

Depends on where you get them from. At the hobby shop they are, but if you order them from Ukraine, they’re almost half the price. However you have to order 150$ worth to get the free shipping. So if your bulk buying, it’s worth it

LMAO. No it's not. Custom flip nose dog house with a solid front axle and rear-end moved forward. THAT is an Altered dragster , NOT a funny car. The "A" on the rear fender tells you it's an "Altered". You don't know enough about what you are dealing with , do you?? How can you fuck up on something so obvious even to a novice car guy / gear head. ( Not me , I actually raced on the quarter )
