Freundschaft, das tut meinem Herzen gut. Es macht das Leben sich leichter anfühlend. Ich bin nicht allein um die Dinge zu erledigen.

When I was 15 a friendship saved my life. When I was feeling very alone and lost, unsupported by the people taking care of me away from home and family, a girl in school smiled at me and asked "Would you like to be friends?" Later it was with her help that I got out of an dangerous situation and survived. It has been 11 years since I have met her and I am travelling to see her next week. Despite us living sometimes in different countries, time zones, cultures, practicing different religions, she continues to be one of the most precious and important people I have met in my life. She inspired me to become a better friend and person myself. For me friendship is not always easy - since my friends are spread out across the globe, it can take effort to stay connected. But my friends are always there, thinking of me and I am thinking of them, and the times we get to spend together are the most precious I have lived. And there is just such a joy in connecting with other people, overcoming our differences of being, of thinking, of believing, and wholeheartedly being friends. There are beautiful and kind people everywhere in this world and I am most blessed to have befriended already so many of them, of being able to be a friend to them. Thank you to Giora Feidman for the beautiful music and for the beautiful work towards becoming friends with the world. I know firsthand that friendship saves lives and I really really truly hope that at some point it can bridge even the differences between the people now the most divided. Whenever I meet a good friend I end up sharing Giora Feidman's music with them since it feels like sharing my heart and soul. I hope more people can listen to this music and learn the importance of friendship for themselves!!! ❤❤❤

Dear Mr Feidman,first at all I want to say "1000 times thank you" for the wonderful concert at Bad Tölz on Friday 28.july 23. I had tears in my eyes when I saw you again. I saw you about 38 years ago the first time and then 1 more time at Kloster Banz. Your playing still is soo emotionel to me..Your concert in Bad Tölz remind me soo many beautiful things at my youthtime... thank you so much ❤ you asked what friendship is for us, for me.. when 2 people are melt to each other, then they have different opinions, even fight and still respect each other and believe on this person. I you can live far away from a person, but you feel exactly when he/she needs you - that's friendship.
