PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL LYFT DRIVERS I want to share a serious warning with all Lyft drivers: I was violently assaulted by a passenger that Lyft sent me. This passenger was not only extremely rude but also called me a “fing Nazi”* and nearly broke my door by forcefully pushing it open and slamming it shut. From the moment I picked him up, I noticed his angry demeanor. I remained silent throughout the ride, but he sat there seething. When we arrived at the destination, he tried to exit before the car even stopped. I believe his aggression was racially motivated hate toward me. I did nothing to deserve this-I was my usual happy, kind, and polite self. However, what happened next was even more shocking. This passenger, Steven, lied to Lyft support, falsely claiming that I verbally attacked him. In reality, he was the one who verbally assaulted me-and much more. Yet, Lyft immediately took his side without investigating the truth. I firmly believe this was a politically motivated attack on me. I drive a Tesla, and i support President Trump. Lyft has made it clear that they do not care about their drivers, especially me-they only care about the money. They permanently deactivated my account, showing that no matter what happens, they will always side with the passenger. Drivers, beware. Lyft does not care about your safety, your dignity, or your livelihood. I urge all drivers to leave this greedy company and find better opportunities elsewhere. You deserve better than being treated like a disposable asset. And what’s even more unsettling? Lyft has all of your personal and confidential information. Stay safe, and don’t let them take advantage of you.

After an eye operation, I had a Lyft driver strand me at a pharmacy stop on the way back to my house. He kept my medical supplies and possibly my wallet, which disappeared some time just before or during the ride. Lyft only charged me the distance from the MD to the pharmacy, not home, so I know they knew the ride wasn't complete. The driver did go to my house, apparently to make the ride show as "complete" and thus expire. I tried to reach a human or somehow report the stolen medical supplies and possibly stolen wallet, but the closest I could find was to report him as being "rude" and thus block him. I did report leaving something in the car, but it was up to the driver to return it, which would have meant a $20 charge to me for his time and gas. Of course, he never answered any messages (which go through Lyft). My calls to him were not put through, either. I didn't report him to the police due to the small dollar value of the medical supplies (probably $50) and my being unsure whether he got my wallet. Although the license number matched the message I got, it's possible he wasn't the registered driver, as his photo looked way younger and he mostly kept his face away from me. Is there something else I should do? I have to wonder: How would Uber handle such a situation?

I had an individual waiting to be picked up with a large dog. I asked him if he was ok with his dog laying on the floor, he said no. I told him I have a blanket the dog could lay on. He said no. He expected his large dog that had been walking in the park wit him, to sit up on the seat. My still new leather seats in 2023 Model 3. When dogs get up to leave, they use a lot of rear leg power to move themselves along, especially to jump out of a car. He just looked at me and said he would cancel the ride and then called me a jerk. Who would have paid for a lacerated car seat $980 if it had happened. I called Lyft support to tell them I offered a place for the dog to lay, but the rider refused.

Please add the ability for government, medical insurance, and car dealership rides have a tipping option. These rides represent a significant number of a driver's rides, and only have the option to rate the driver, this is highly unfair to the drivers who already have a much lower percentage statistically around 15-20% of rides that DO have a tipping option vs food delivery has a 75%+ rate of orders being tipped. I mean, every dollar helps but having NO ability for the rides that are thru business accounts is a sad failure on the apps part! The business accounts do NOT tip drivers, period!

Lyft, you need to publicly support your driver now or you will lose customers, one being myself. This will get thrown out of court immediately, with a $500 vehicle engineers report. He was actually saving her life in an emergency situation. I say this with 35 years racing experience and have built complete race cars from the ground up….. It’s obvious the car has lowered sports suspension and is a civic which small size car. With her in the passengers seat the car would be below legal ride height and have a big difference in weight balance from right to left. The vehicle would be dangerously unstable under emergency breaking and change of direction…. Also he’s worried about his low profile rims and tyres, as anyone who’s mechanically minded would be…. If you aren’t :- If you have a continuously compressed spring with less travel on the right hand side, the smallest pot hole will cause damage to both rim and tyre. It’s a certainty on 18+ “ rims (With her weight, even standard rim sizes would be a risk in a small car) Lastly no one should ever get in a car without a seatbelt fitted and it obvious she’s too large to wear one. Surly there’s seatbelt laws in the US? Public safety overrides feelings and this driver should be celebrated for not putting everyone on the road and sidewalk at risk. Can you imagine the injuries that would happen to the driver with 600lbs of unrestrained weight in the car. It’s suicidal even in a low speed side impact to the drivers door. The problem is people have no concept of weight, but If you put a 600lbs boulder on the passengers seat, no one on this planet would say it’s safe to drive that car. Lyft, do better…. Your driver shouldn’t have to be put in this position with a woman who’s 250lbs too heavy to safely ride in a small car. Your terms conditions and safety policies should already cover this situation…. The driver is the only one who’s getting a million dollar payout from you because you provided a dangerous work place, with no risk assessment regarding obese customers and this could have easily resulted in multiple fatalities.
