Don't read if you want to learn on your own: Unlike alot of other RTS games where the tech building can be anywhere to unlock new units, the tech buildings have to share the same hubs and factories in grey goo. In this case, the ability to build Predators depends on having both a factory and tank attachment on the same hub. The same principle applies when you start playing the Human faction where Attachments MUST be directly connected to factories in order to produce certain unit types. The Goo Faction throws all that out the window in favor of the size of the Mothers and Proteins.
