Wow 4-4 but a 8 goal thriller COYU's!

Well what an amazing game that was! We scored four goals in a 50 minute spell today and that is twice the amount of goals we'd scored in about the previous 13 hours of league football we'd played! I hope the scoreline doesn't make our owners think we don't need another striker and that there's no need for them to dig deeper into their pockets in the coming week. I know I should be grateful for the point but it's a real shame we couldn't take one of the chances we had to win because we haven't got a home game for five weeks now and the three away games we've got in the meantime don't look particularly winnable!

What a game!!!

Wow, scoring four goals in a game is one extreme to the other. Sadly a defence that's looked shaky at times in each game so far totally went to pieces before being bailed out later on. We still need at least one more option up top. But it is clear that Monk needs to do a similar transformation on the defence to that which he did towards the end of last season. Stokes looks a real gem, Lavery works hard but needs some help. Monk needs to go back to basics with the defending.

Gutted about it ending in a draw it feels like a loss but happy for lavery good luck rest of the season

The play itself is better than previous seasons but perhaps, in hindsight, did contracts get given to some that didn’t deserve them and would that money be better spent attracting players to the club whilst integrating the young players into the squad and giving them game time?

Excusing the obvious loss let's realise that the football on show is far more impressive than in many years of late. Issue is that our keepers are not great at playing out from the back and Lavery is not a line leading striker and needs help

We've never invested in decent players. Time the fans called out those running the club.

Given that we've struggled to score goals for the past couple of years, you would've thought the number one priority at the start of the summer would've been to bring in a forward who knows how to score goals! It's absolutely criminal that we're coming towards the end of August and still haven't signed such a player! We're at home to Blackpool next week and they are one of only two sides who are below us in the table. I think we all know who's going to win that game if we still haven't signed anybody to score goals before then!
