I’m so relieved to hear that it does take a while to get the exam right, I’m just in school for accounting & im going to work towards my CPA & everyone is telling me how hard it is. That I expect, I just didn’t know it took 18 months of studying & I can retake the test & that time is just a number. I want to be able to understand every concept at full capacity

I'm waiting for my final score (to be released next week), and I've been watching score release videos for all of these content creators who have finally made it. It's an inspiration to see, and it brings tears to my eyes to see the pure joy and relief on your face! I can't wait to have that feeling. Thank you for sharing this moment, despite being burnt out and frustrated. You are truly inspiring!

Just beginning the journey. Love your video thanks for sharing!! My bachelor's is in art and I plan on doing a MAcc. I'm a bit scared cause I want to be a competent CPA and I have a winding, long path ahead. I have been taking courses to go into healthcare for the past couple of years and also work as a pharmacy tech. Now that I am in microbiology, I realize I want to switch to accounting for sure. We just tested patient samples and I just can't do bodily fluids. Also it is a very mentally and physically demanding field. Helping people in this way is just not my thing. So here I am!!!

Haha. Raise? What raise? When I got my CPA, one of the Partners gave me a $500 bonus, but no raise. Earning your CPA will likely not lead to a promotion/raise at your current job, but you it makes you more marketable. You'd be surprised how much more money you can earn out on the open market. I've been out of Public Accounting for about 5 years and I have doubled my salary and I barely work full a 40 hours a week. My biggest advice to an aspiring accountant is to NETWORK. It is very important. A CPA license qualifies you, but relationships get you in the door.

Thank you so much for this video Ro 🥰 It is exactly what I needed. I failed BEC twice (52,58) back in 2019, forgot about it and moved on to AUD which I passed in June2020. However, due to the pandemic, working full time, having my daughter, hubby, golden retriever (COVID Puppy) and all of my excuses I let my CPA Exams go to the back burner. Not any longer though, I am copying your strategy and moving on to passing BEC, retesting for AUD & REG and finalizing with FAR. I really liked how you broke down the hours for the lectures and MCQ's. Will it be possible for you to share the spreadsheet you used please?

I had my bachelor in Management, I had to go back to concentrate on accounting to get my additional credits. What’s the best way to get the experience?
@tyleshay57122 жыл бұрын
Hey, you made some good points! I was just thinking about everything you mentioned. I don’t think the cash envelope is for me either since I don’t like having a lot of money just sitting around or carrying it around. Someone can steal it and when it’s gone it’s gone. Using a credit card for the cash back is also another good point and doing that can also improve your credit which using cash doesn’t.

so what's your suggestions for a new grad? go for the masters just to be able to focus on taking the cpa?
@ForensicDreamer2 жыл бұрын
To get my 150 credits, I did the grad school route. MSA (Master of Science in Accounting). I don't have a bachelor's degree in accounting, so I had to do the MSA. I've learned a lot about the CPA exam through my MSA program, and we've taken mock CPA exams throughout the year, so we have an idea of what to expect on the actual exam.

Been keeping up with you for about a year now. CONGRATS! I cried when I watched that you didn’t pass bec (even though I already knew you were finished lol.) Also, here to confirm Becker has the little extended feature now too. I think they kind of piggyback off each other. I definitely like roger as a teacher. I would watch his KZbin videos in school. Thinking about switching although my Becker doesn’t expire. I’ve been studying since 2019, I’ve failed all 5 tests I’ve taken so far. Hoping someone sees this and stays encouraged! Congrats again girly!🤍🤍🤍🤍
