Hello! Question! Can anyone tell me if Johnny baily attended yates all 4 yrs----freshman to Senior? I asked this as it appears he graduated from yates in 86,which would have made him a freshman at yates in 1983. I have the yates highschool 1983 yr book & dont see his picture in freshmen class I came to the conclusion he may have not attended yates all 4 yrs . If someone knows please let me know😊!

I went to Cunningham for Kinder and 1st grade. But I did not really like it. I transferred to Condit Elementary for the rest of elementary. But this was before the new building at Cunningham.

Teachers are not allowed to do independent reading anymore .... As was the directive yesterday at an HISD campus.

Why are the kids reading silently in class? We were told not to let students read silently as part of a Reas-Write-Share literacy program.

RIP Mrs. Perkins-Thomas, loved the school. My daughter is excellent at math, science, and art because she got her start here.

I grew up next to Dobie HS in Pasadena. In 85 Dobie had their best team ever finishing 12-1 and losing to Jones 26-21 in the third round. Yates squeaked by Jones a week later 13-6. I always wondered if Dobie would have fared at least better than Permian had they got past Jones.
