i like slash more, the gnr songs are just better, and hes a huge part of that sound. CC may be the most underrated player of that era tho, really talented

I heard in a documentary that Slash and C.C. were the two guitarists where Poison chosen. The singer wanted Slash but the band took C.C. 😂

It's not that I hate slash, but no matter how great he is, he is very lucky to have joined GNR.. without slash, GNR would still be a big band, but not the other way around...

These are my 2 favorite guitarist. Can’t compare the two. They are BOTH AMAZING MUSICIANS PERIOD. Glad to have grown up with these two ROCKING AND ROLLING the soundtrack to my youth. DEFINITELY better than anything going these days. TAKE ME BACK TO YESTERDAY

CC for me, I love the tone he gets. That solo in I Won't Forget You is the sweetest solo ever, I wish it was longer. But because he was always too high he didn't reproduce the album solos live, he'd just shred in key and it was pretty bad, so Slash is probably better live. You also didn't include Velvet Revolver. Slash is better on those songs I think, Fall To Pieces, Slither, Gravedancer, Loving The Alien, he was still improving. Anyway thanks for putting this video together. 🙂 (P.S. Your Dad wins!! CC Deville forever!! 🙂)

@@kaitlyndeaner8293 You know I hadn't heard some of those songs, you introduced me to 'I Won't Forget You', so definitely thank you. Slash is fantastic, it doesn't matter who's better. On Gravedancer, I can hear that he'd been listening to Joe Satriani, it has some of that feel. The solo on Fall To Pieces is beautiful. They are both great. 🤩

I think what makes a lot of CC's solo's fun, energetic and interesting is he uses a lot of old school rockabilly stuff in his solo's. Something Slash doesn't give us, Slash to me is a chill guitarist that kind sits back in the pocket and is very blues based with his solos. CC in one solo can have rockabilly, blues, jazz and EVH type tapping/techniques. And it all comes together in a really cool melodic fun solo that works.

Cc is underrated because of being in a glam band. I love poison but cc could've fronted any band he wanted. Hes an amazing guitarist and this comes from a Randy Rhoads fanatic...

C.C. deville has the Edge I think on Slash .....C.C.s Solos are much more Elaborate......both Brillant but Sorry C.C. takes this one in my opinion !!

Really tough man...CC DeVille was the child in all of us, and his solos were memorable. Slash, had swag, and the swag showed in his guitar playing..Let's put it this way..They were the best at putting their personalities through the strings of their instruments. They never tried to be anyone else but themselves..

Poison is a gaylord band. I dont even like Guns that much but thats mainly because of Axl. Slash is a way better player and more widely recognized as such.

These comments are absurd. Neither is underrated. There is no comparison. Slash is a much, much better player, far more melodic, far more interesting, much more aggressive.

They are both great guitarist, but like Billy Duffy, CC was under rated! I am just glad I was a teenager when all this wonderful music was born!

I have to give the edge to cc. I just think his solos have more pop sensibility to them and they flow better. Slash Is insanely talented as well, but he sort of jumps around and doesn’t string his Melodie’s together like cc does.
