Great video lads just wondering how do you manage to get your cameras so deep into the burrow is it with a stick or by digging because ive started my own hunting channel and just want to know how you managed it.
@ZeusPolecat2 күн бұрын
Thank you. In this video the cameras are not actually that deep, just sort of placed looking in

@In this video they look easy but its always bogelled me when its in the deeper parts of the warrens where theyre not near the entrance like did you use a pole to push them in that far or dig them in its always confused me especially when i cant see any entrance
@ZeusPolecatКүн бұрын
@thomas2937 Various methods, the easiest is an arm down! But above shallow warrens you can sometimes feel the grounds soft just when walking over, so those can be good spots. In the past I have used sticks, endoscopes and string. But doesn't always need to be that complicated.

Actually built my own ferret mounted camera once too, but the footage wasn't professional enough for me to want to share it. Difficult given the shape of the ferret and the way it squeezes through tight holes

Second last video of the New Zealand series! Thank you for all the likes and comments, helps to boost the videos performance. Some new future plans have been made to film more videos in a nearby country....

Congratulations on solving New Zealand's rabbit crisis!

There's a lot more out there haha, not sure how they will solve it for good. Billy the guy who took me out in most of these videos was part of a team that fully removed rabbits from macquarie island, south of New Zealand. So it has been achieved on a smaller scale.

Welcome to Zeus Polecats automated AI reply - People hunt rabbits for a variety of reasons. One primary reason is pest control, as rabbits can cause significant damage to crops, gardens, and native ecosystems by overgrazing. Hunting also serves as a means of population management to prevent overpopulation and subsequent environmental harm. Additionally, rabbit hunting is pursued for sport, tradition, and sustenance, with rabbit meat being a source of food. It combines outdoor activity with ecological benefits, making it a multifaceted practice.

Rabbits have got to be one of the most pathetic animals on planet earth.

Bunnies are very invasive in Oceania... Thanks to the man that thought bringing rabbits in Australia for his hunting fun was a good idea.. they reproduce like crazy. And since they have no predators... It's even worse. They're destroying the ecosystem. Rabbits should stay where they belong and they're native, in Europe . They have natural predators here like foxes, hawks, falcons, polecats.

I’m surprised by the strength that the ferret had to stop the rabbit that was trying with all its might to escape.
