SPOILER ALERT 🚨 Yes!!! First, I will say the book IS really good. It was good enough for me to read on my breaks at work lol but there was so many unexplained things: The bees, the dead pile of animals, the almost coyote attack. Why did so many things go wrong? Were they plotted? Did Charolette and Betty know he was killing his airbnb hosts? How did the page in the guest book go missing? Why did Albert not say he was related? Was he helping him kill? Was Joe helping him kill? How did she drug Calvin? In the coffee? And the fact that the days were really long but the plot twist was only in the last 20 pages was wild. It was a great story, it just needs more answers to satisfy the reader.

I had two miscarriages and I’ve told God that I’d take plants for the moment. It is my healing. I’ve been investing in some plants 7 plants and one Bonsai. I just finished this yesterday and what the heck?? I wanted a good killer/horror novel and got such whiplash at the (very poorly written) romcom. Like everyone in this was so UNCOMFORTABLE. Nothing made sense. And like others, I did think she was connected to the missing girl. Also, what was up with Calvin's parents? I admit I was skimming hard after the first 5 chapters or so, so maybe I missed it. But something came out about them? Explaining why Joe was the way he was?

LOL at skimming hard but you didn’t miss anything. Calvin & his brother was an underdeveloped story. I think the publisher made Geneva cut a couple chapters and we had to suffer with the fractured storyline. Thanks for watching!

I was very into the book and it kept me engaged, but after chapter 58 something twist and turned around and it didn’t really quite satisfy me the ending, so I’m a little bit disappointed in the ending glad I’m not the only one who’s upset about all the potholes who did what and why?

Yesss I was disappointed too.... I felt most of the book dragged, it went through the days so slowly, but then the big reveal/finale was so rushed? And to find out she was just doing it for fun felt so unsatisfying 😂 I wasn't a fan
