The new stock has become a laughing stock, the reviews of the service under Serco get worse and worse. Considering the fares the service seems to have gone backwards.

Autism is a sad thing but it hard to cope with at times ands needs support for them like in wheel chairs who need support quite a lot transport Scotland keep up with the transport and please make it more bigger crossings and even countdown traffic lights like London Birmingham and Manchester that for those that are disabled why not have it in Renfrewshire Inverclyde Ayrshire and edinburgh and stirling and up north as far as aberdeen and upgrade all pedestrian crossings in Scotland to countdown timers issues

Just get EV charging network up a running, we need to work with partnership with Tesla etc on a SC network up the highlands. Scottish executive should be encouraging more sites. 🤔👍
The westbound carriageway of the new M8 will open to traffic on Sunday 23 April, followed by the eastbound carriageway on Sunday 30 April.

Just think of how much countryside and how many historic estates were ruined all in the name of progress. The money would have been better spent investing into our public transport. There are already too many cars on the road, this will just encourage more.
@MoYceyYDnB7 жыл бұрын
1. A very small amount of countryside. Its parallel to the A8. 2. Public transport alone cannot and will NEVER be able to carry all of our population. Cars and motorways will always be the most important part of our infrastructure. 3. It will encourage more, but would you rather traffic jams, with thousands of standstill cars pumping pollution into the atmosphere, or free flowing traffic allowing for no jams? However I must say, I have *no idea* why they decided to build a whole new motorway. Widening the existing A8 to dual 3 lanes and a hard shoulder would be fine.

Does the bridge have footpaths for pedestrians to walk across like the FRB?
@transportscotland7 жыл бұрын
Hi, the Queensferry Crossing is a motorway so won't have footpaths. However, the pedestrian experience should improve on the Forth Road Bridge with minimal traffic.

I'm still trying to get my head around the logic of having 2 lanes plus a hard shoulder across the bridge rather than 3 permanent running lanes in each direction. What's the point in having unused capacity and the same tailbacks during the rush hour?
@transportscotland8 жыл бұрын
Hi Glen, it has been designed this way to assist the bridge in coping with any accidents or breakdowns that might occur. This should allow the operating company to clear the road more quickly and result in less delays for bridge users.

No car parking at the railway station then?
@transportscotland8 жыл бұрын
+Glen Haig All three Options currently being considered include parking for around 50 vehicles, including disabled vehicles - this is around 50% more parking than is currently provided. Please refer to the A9 Dualling Pass of Birnam to Tay Crossing webpages for more detail (www.transport.gov.scot/project/a9-pass-birnam-tay-crossing)
@raithrover19768 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Clearly a lack of lateral thinking on my part. I'd wondered how it would be possible to fit a dual carriageway between the station and the houses but, having looked at option 2, a short cut and cover section with parking on the top would solve that problem.
