The greatest song in Tekken 5 is from The Devil Within Stage 2. A pity you didn't cover it.

You lost me when you said you liked Unforgiven, yes I guess you could say it kinda suits a fighting game, but it has to be one of the most forgettable, uninspired, badly mixed songs to come from a fighting game. It's like everything got recorded underwater. Formless, Poolside and Moonlit Wilderness are the highlights of the T5 OST imo

I mean we seem to agree on more than we disagree, I‘m not quite sure how that would warrant losing you?

Crimson sunset is one of my all time favorite tracks, and it's alternate version, call of the inferno is just as good. I'm also a huge fan of Antares and Gold rush.

Thank you so much for this video! Looking forward to your input on the next few installments of Tekken. :) You clearly put so much effort into them, it absolutely shows! After listening to T5 OST more and specifically "Sparking!" I see how the music producers of Tekken definitely took inspiration of the Anime-esque sequence of the T5 opening and the music to create an upgraded version in the form of the Tekken 8 opening. T8 seems to reference back a lot to T5 which I appreciate.

You was a tough critic on this. The TTT themes are amazing and fit the scenes, especially the minimal songs. They make perfect sense for its time. It was a good time to experiment in that time of evolution and they did an amazing job bringing a unique touch to the series.

God, I can't wait for you to cover Tekken Tag Tournament 2 OST! Other than that, I'd love to hear what you have to say about Street Fighter soundtracks (especially 6, since fanbase seems very divided on it). Edit: Just got to the point where you talk about adaptive music during round, now I want to hear you talk about SF5 and 6 even more, since their adaptive music system makes every transition buttery smooth

Tekken 5's music is peak, especially both songs in the opening. I could glaze the game to hell and back because i that's what i've gotten into the series with, but one thing i'll admit not all of the OST is amazing, Unforgiven personally is just...meh(same with Poolside and Frozen Paradise). Moonlit Wilderness is a masterpiece(and its Tag 2 arrangement makes it even better). The Finalizer is also great and so is most other tracks, though i heard the damn thing in my nightmares no thanks to Jinpachi and how much i struggled with him before.

can’t wait for your vids on 6 and tag 2 if they are planned, i really enjoy your in depth shares of your thoughts on these. (i’m watching these while eating lol) and it’s really comforting to know there’s fellow tekken music nerds such as myself out there that are willing to get into detail with these songs.

I have the Flac file of Staff Role on my phone, the fact they used it for the character solo fighting clips makes me believe they new it was a banger. P.S. Yoshimitsu's lyrics isca call back to buddist chants, "no eyes, No Ears" is a meditation chant to free yourself of physical form, transcendence i.e. Nirvana. or domething like that.

I’m gonna take a gander and say that this video is probably bemoaning the existence of niche games that aim for other emotional responses besides “fun” and critiquing them as relative to how “fun they are” Probably with a “it’s meant to be bad” straw-manning of my point built in

Man, you didn’t have anything to say regarding Street’s (Asura Ver.) chorus which is a bummer. The buildup to that soundtrack’s catchy chorus is insane.

Poolside's piano melody is also outright lifted from 'Children' by Robert Miles. It's not the first fighting game to do it either, Rock's theme in Garou Mark of the Wolves also lifts that same melody.
