Lookup Prospect & Frontier leagues to see if you qualify... There are several major leaguers that get taken from those leagues. Not much pay, but if you want a head start, theres plenty of teams accross the Midwest, East Coast, even a couple Canadian teams in those leagues.

I’m a submarine pitcher and a southpaw but I personally believe that Japanese baseball could be for you. In my opinion its harder than the majors. Plus the food is good! :)

I have been following your career for awhile because I'm also a submariner. I can't go nearly as low as you do. I wish I could. I'm super pumped to see you have gotten all the way to the Atlantic League . Big Tine ..... Keep it up man! Keep sending your videos to the organizations. From time in the Pecos all the way to the Bigs! You can do it!

How do you grip your submarine breaking ball? That is a great pitch. Problem with throwing nothing but submarine pitches, is that hitters will adjust to it. So your only chance for success is if they don't see you very often. Which won't happen if you are in the show. Your divisional opponents will see you a lot. My advice is only 3 words: Multiple arm angles.
@soulfulstrum1315 жыл бұрын
Whoa, I followed your old videos and somehow managed so get to this one...I’m from San Rafael too, I side-arm super low, but not low you or Makita. Hope you’re still playing for the Pacifics!

Submarine pitching is a lost art. I was the only submarine pitcher in the league growing up playing when I was a kid. They hated batting against me lol. My best pitch was curve ball. I even developed shay I called the knuckle change I used as a change up, but it had s forward rotation and dropped like crazy. Didn’t throw it much though in games.

im bouta try out for the joliet slammers windy city thunderbolts normal cornbelters and schaumburg boomers next year. i know i need to change things up because my overhand 70-74 won't cut it at the pro level. it didn't even cut it in HS. thats why im here. i am going to change up everything i do and go submarine and hopefully be a left on left or 7th or 8th inning guy. that is my goal.

I'd sign you in a heartbeat if i was a scout dude! I like the stuff and the different arm slot! I'm a sidearmer and ive been thinking about doing sidearm/submarine. Keep up the great work Garrett, you'll get a shot in affiliated ball, just keep marketing yourself, sending in vids to pro scouts, and keep working hard. Try to gain a few ticks of velocity if you can, I saw in some of your other vids you said you were upper 70s. I know MLB submariners like Ben rowen and chad Bradford were consistently low 80s

It shouldn't be too difficult to get a tryout on the lowest of the minor leagues. Then kick ass and work your way up. I might also suggest you study Dan Quisenberry's technique. If I remember right. he developed a submarine knuckleball.

I also throw submarine, i think its a great pitch, a lot of slow ground balls and a ton of pop ups. It is very true about being deceptive, the ball moves up and/or down depending on what pitch, and it is coming from a different angle from a batters perspective, I love pitching it and hopefully I can continue my baseball career with it as well.

throwing overhand and submarine are two different styles if i throw a scurve or 12-6 curve over then submarine the submarine you might barely be able to hit fair let alone get a base hit trust me i faced people doing submarines i literally had to have a buddy who knew how to submarine pitch to me so i could practice hitting them
@yomama82129 жыл бұрын
Yeah go see the Japanese team. There's a really famous pitcher on the all star team. You are such a rip off of him. Your spped doesn't even come close. Nice try tho. Any pro batter would get a home run off you.
@twelveshotzz8 жыл бұрын
can you do it ?

no lmao its hard to hit submarine pitches because most people who do it have them at the knees hit a home run constantly off balls near your knees then talk kid

I can pitch submarine as well. Its great for groundball outs.But It lacks the hard speed for a real fastball inside tight or nailing the outside corners. The weather has been dry and not too hot for the ball move crisply. If its wet weather and or a bit humid...its ineffective. Count the time for a ball reach the plate...sub takes it a longer while looping across . I agree Tekulve the Q Dave V all had great careers . College levls going all game ( 9 innings) is different at MLB.

I live in New England and I am one of the best relief pitchers in the league
@divingadventures1216 жыл бұрын
Don’t need a super fastball to get batters out. Location, as long as u can get up into the 80s and hit your locations, you will be able to pitch. Example: Greg Maddox, barely had a 90mph fastball, but could work both sides of the plate. Which is more important than 95mph fastball. There is also great situations that could be used by submarine pitcher, i was used right after our fastball pitcher was taken out. Other teams hard hard time adjusting to the different offspeed, different angle..etc. fastball wasn’t my best pitch either, curveball was. And I got batters out no problem.
