Hi there. If you are in VNAV PTH you will need to press V/S to changes modes. Purely rotating the V/S wheel on its own will do nothing.

I love your videos! Quick question: when starting an engine, the knob is turned to GND. Why is the label “GND” used? Wouldn’t “START” make more sense? What does GND actually stand for? Thanks.
@simcaptainb737tutorials9 Жыл бұрын
Hi there. Glad you like the videos. GND is Ground. No idea why they called it that, I agree Start would make more sense. I often think the same for CONT for the CONTROL CABIN for the air conditioning panel in the flight deck. Why not call it FCC as it’s called the Flight Crew Compartment.

I think that if you want to retract the flap form 15 to up , it means that go around , so first of all push TOGA , then flap 1( using the alternate flap switch ) then normal procedure for go around .

Apologies, I didn’t get notification that this had a comment. On the older PMDG you click on the PFD and ND which expands them. They were always too small on my monitor to really be of any use. The new PMDG for FS2020 Doesn’t have the facility to do this which is s shame.

Why don’t press approche button you start on the glide slope but wait to decend why ??
@simcaptainb737tutorials92 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message. The video is to demonstrate what to do if ATC descend you to an altitude but do not clear you for the approach. Either that, or you have been radar vectored to an ILS and find yourself high on the glide slope. As you say, if you were already in the GS and cleared for the approach then of course you would press Approach but this is a demonstration as the real world doesn’t always allow this. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for the video. I was struggling for hours to find a solution through manual FSUIPC programming. I've managed to program the MCP selector on the Thrustmaster to do as desired. However, the increments of my values will increase very quickly and get stuck there. For example on the IAS, it will increase at 1kt increments and then very quickly go to 5kt increments. It remains stuck at 5kt increments too! Any ideas? Cheers

how come hyd qty A was lower then B by so much was it to do with the gear positistion,thought you needed 76% minimum in both QTY to depart ?
@simcaptainb737tutorials93 жыл бұрын
In order to create the failure, both hydraulic pumps are switched off to prevent the hydraulic flap system operating. It isn’t a perfect way to create the failure. But yes you are correct, to dispatch, you must not have an RF which is <76%. Nothing to do with the landing gear. PMDG isn't a perfect tool to create failures. It was a good spot, I hadn't noticed that SYS A quantity was that low, the SIM does very strange things sometimes.
