Gosh this breaks my heart, I can see you people have tried to pick this situation apart objectively, and if you had one simple initial fact, navigating the rest would have been somewhat obvious and make perfect sense. This young girl had met her first love, she was completely besotted understandably. One evening a very bad situation occurred, the next day she was blocked. Hurt and confused, she hoped that he would call her if she was pregnant, but that didn't work, so in anger she did the lesser thing of releasing a few photos. Those guys were crapping themselves, and so they went to Ricky as the manager to get him to sort out the girl and the pregnancy problem. Those men broke a young innocent, vulnerable girl with a promising future. Do you really think she apologised about the photos because she wanted to? Do you think her story changed all of a sudden because she was finally telling the truth (even after passing a lie detector test)? She was alone tenaciously fighting her best courageous fight. She didn't play the victim she tried to be tough, and as a women I salute that. I'm sure her Dad would still say ' if I could change one thing, I would have kept her home from school that day'. There was no care taken for a young girl, the trauma will continue to shape her life. Not that it helps her, but I think if the same thing happened today there would be a completely different outcome. She fought none the less and that was important.

The health gap refers to the significant disparities in health outcomes between different population groups, often driven by social, economic, and environmental factors. These gaps can manifest in various ways, including differences in life expectancy, rates of chronic diseases, access to healthcare, and overall quality of life. The health gap is particularly evident when comparing wealthy, well-resourced populations with those facing poverty, discrimination, and limited access to essential services. One of the primary contributors to the health gap is socioeconomic status. People living in poverty often face greater barriers to accessing quality healthcare, nutritious food, safe housing, and education factors that all play a critical role in maintaining good health. This results in higher rates of preventable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and mental health conditions among disadvantaged groups. Additionally, environmental factors like poor air quality, unsafe neighborhoods, and lack of green spaces can further exacerbate health inequities. Racial and ethnic disparities also contribute significantly to the health gap. In many countries, marginalized communities, particularly racial and ethnic minorities, experience higher rates of chronic illness, lower life expectancy, and poorer access to healthcare. These disparities are often the result of historical injustices, systemic racism, and ongoing discrimination that limit opportunities for economic mobility, access to quality education, and healthcare access. The health gap is not only a matter of social justice but also an economic concern. Populations with poor health are less likely to contribute to the economy at full capacity due to disability, illness, or premature death. This creates a cycle of poverty and poor health that is difficult to break without systemic change. To address the health gap, it is crucial to tackle the underlying social determinants of health, such as income inequality, access to education, housing, and healthcare. Public health interventions should prioritize reducing disparities by ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, have equal access to the resources they need to live healthy lives. In addition, policies that promote social equity, environmental sustainability, and inclusive economic development are key to narrowing the health gap and achieving better health outcomes for all. In conclusion, the health gap highlights the urgent need to address the social, economic, and systemic factors that contribute to health inequities. Reducing these disparities requires a multifaceted approach, involving policy changes, increased access to resources, and a commitment to equity in healthcare. Only by addressing these root causes can we close the health gap and ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to live a healthy life.

This long time myth about a so called clash is similarly to ideas like 'western' 'judeo-christian' values etc is just another tool to uphold a certain narrative that facilitates oppressing others and exploiting them. It's a tale as old as time itself. As soon as the first cities arose and there was a need for more resources or territorial expansion or political ambitions in the region , far or near, it was just all too convenient to say anyone living outside the cities not sharing the city dweller lifestyle is 'barbaric' i.e is at odds with the 'civil' and therefore needs to be put in line.

I’ve never been mean to other women, I’ve always be confused why they are mean to me even when being authentically kind, supportive, and loving. I don’t understand why women will stab me in the back, spread rumours and gossip about me. I’ve helped women, given them advice, backed them up, I have no issue with complimenting them. It like no matter what they hate me. It hurts because I see the fakiness but other women will side with the bullies and I’m confused how other women don’t see this toxic behaviour. Example the other day, an elderly colleague of mine who was recently injured and placed in light duties was in discomfort and I told her maybe it’s a good idea for you to go home because i genuinely felt her pain and didn’t say it in a demanding way but caring. Another girl who is envious of me for no reason pretended to be sick and there’s proof, didn’t come in is why the elderly lady came in to help out. Guess who gets all the love, support and attention from this elderly woman and everyone else? You got that right the toxic, lazy, slop. It hurts to see and I truly believe most women are so toxic themselves that they see the behaviour as normal so when you come with genuine intentions, they think you’re also fake. I don’t have time for the bs no more so I avoid most women. I know it comes with drama, fakiness, and gossiping behind my back. I’m on a way above this stuff. It just hurts because I just want to have genuine women friends but it’s impossible and I have no ill intentions. Over the bear or the men I choose the men. Yep! At least with the men the intentions will be shown faster than with women. With women it’s a slow, painful, and evil process where you didn’t even know how bad and some of the things they were said behind your back. Your reputation and job can be on the line and they will be happy to destroy your life. People just suck man

AA Gill, at 27:00: Far, far ahead of the game (& shouldn't have been far, far ahead then, let alone now.) "Most Ghanaian dishwashers, are treated far worse, than any of the Geese used to make Foie gras." What a truth. I have worked as a Waiter, Restaurant Manager, Cocktail Barman, a Pub Barman (pulling pints), a speciality coffee Barista & all the other bullshit names they make up for what is essentially in my mind, the same task: Looking after your guests as if they're dining at your fucking house, & looking after your colleagues as if they're in the trenches with you (because on those shifts where the restaurant is already at level chaos busy, there are 30 people queueing at the door, a waitress has just walked out the door in tears mid-shift, & the chef is an evil cunt who is physically & psychologically maiming his team, it's good to have a friend or two.) Now, any establishment which turns a blind eye to bullying; whether you are a guest or a worker: I highly recommend you to challenge the manager on shift as to why they let it happen (they know, even if they pretend they don't) & to make others aware in your reviews. I will never return to an establishment where I see it going on, because I know that only stress, anger, depression & anxiety have got that food onto my plate. I am someone who will never back down to a bully, & will challenge bullying of others; but this isn't enough. There is far too much bullying in the restaurant industry, just because of it's perfectionist image. Trust me, there is no perfectionism going on in restaurants where people aren't happy; because corners are cut when people aren't happy, & the only thing the people serving & cooking for you care about, is waiting for you to get the fuck out of the restaurant so they can self-medicate & sleep. I was discussing this issue with a new colleague recently, I actually wrote about the issues of bullying, self medication, & in some cases: Self-harm & suicide of restaurant workers to the MP in charge of the service industry for England, & my thorough email was completely ignored. I don't understand why someone can commit ABH/GBH in a kitchen, & not get prosecuted; yet if they did it on the street (let alone an office!) it would make the papers. If you were to meet me in person, I am not some woke, nanny-state red-tape basher; in-fact, I am actually very strict to colleagues as a manager/worker, & expect high standards, but that won't stop me from encouraging everyone; whether you just dine out, or work in the industry, to communicate with the manager in a polite, & empathetic manner if you see or receive any kind of actions that lead you to believe something isn't quite right. If they don't listen, it's pretty simple to find the email for a Head Office to get a reply instead. You could be saving someone's day, their job, their physical/mental well-being, or even their life.

Note how Dr Dines says that "there are a thousand ways to have sex" (Porn Wars Conference, 2012), as long as your ideas are not coming from a male/white/capitalist source. It follows then that she endorses any kind of aberration, as long as it comes from a female/non-white/Marxist system..? Fantasy and desire are inseparable, regardless of the source. Desire ordinarily leads to action. If Dines says we can have any sexual fantasy we choose, that is akin to making every action permissible, as long as the fantasy is not shared by a white male. Is this the right person to lead a crusade against pornography? Are white males, who own the means of capital, not allowed to have sexual fantasies too? What about non-white females who own means of production, are they less "authentic" than other females?

Dr. Gail Dines admits during this conference that her repulsion to pornography is due to it's source: white capitalist males, and mode: mass production; whereas the other ladies at the table are looking at porn itself, regardless of how it is produced. Social Science is an industry too, that generates millions of $ from taxpayers, but that does make it invalid. Dr Dines' aggressive language betrays a kind of hatred towards certain classes, whereas the other ladies sound much less antagonistic to any particular class. It's a fallacy to say that any 'thing' produced by an owner of capital is 'inauthentic'. If that were the case, we would have to exclude ourselves from all commercial life. For Dines, the war against pornography appears to be a pretext for warring against 'the system', whereas the other ladies seem genuinely concerned about the welfare of the general public. Another false premise of Dr Dines is that she attributes evil acts to men only, which is a bizarre outlook for a so-called 'academic'. She takes this even further and makes the very un-empirical claim that governments are incapable of any moral good (even though she does not believe in morality, as such). The state of Washington passed the first anti-human trafficking laws in the USA, back in 2006, while Dines was still deciding whether porn was good or bad... Historically, why does Dr Dines' ignore anything that took place before the Sexual Revolution, as if porn suddenly appeared in the 1950s? What about the gradual loss of spirituality during the Renaissance, culminating in Martin Luther's radically altered outlook on the function of women in society and their relations to men? The emergence of modern pornographic magazines, was simply an extension of the use of pornography, which had been with us since the 15th century, and tells us absolutely nothing about women and men, that we don't already know. The Church dissuaded the populace from using porn as early as 1524 ('The Sixteen Pleasures' by Piero Aretino)...but that does not count, given that they were 'patriarchal white males'. Five centuries later, the Radical Feminists are here to rescue us from porn! I have a few misgivings with Dr Dines' book too: The book was compelling reading, to be sure, but I am hard-pressed to agree with her methods, the worst being that of dragging the reader through a veritable cesspool only to tell them that…it stinks. This book is not an argument against pornography, as such, but the results of decades of detached scientific research (i.e. watching thousands of X rated films). The historical side was a little warped, as I noted above, high-jumping the likes of, the Renaissance, Martin Luther, De Sade, Baudelaire, Bernays and Kinsey, in favor of Hugh Hefner, Howard Stern. The voluminous descriptions of hard-core porn, and it's paraphernalia, form the bulk of the book. A pithy definition of 'hard-core porn' would have sufficed, but that would have reduced the book to a short and anemic essay. One could argue that this book is a covert advert for hard-core porn, as it contains so much material that doesn't bear on the argument discussed, if there is one? The secondary focus of the book is $$$. Gail Dines tells us twice, that Howard Stern was the second highest paid celebrity in 2006. On page xxiv of the Introduction, Dines defines woman as a pure economic unit, but the pornographers are criticized relentlessly by Dines, for doing exactly that. Dines' prosaic ideal for womanhood is ..."health care, day-care, retirement plans..." Dines naturally rejects terms like: 'moral', 'immoral', 'ethical', 'unethical', etc. which are not proper to her franco lingua. In the underwhelming conclusion (p. 165,) pornography is definitively condemned as "having no place in a just society", even though the term, 'just', belongs to the patriarchal culture that supposedly invented pornography. There's a little 'strawman' boxing too: Dines implies that the underlying inventors of pornography were 'The Patriarchy', whoever that is, without proving it. Another contradiction Dines either ignores, or is incapable of addressing, is that her opponents have the identical view of womanhood as she does. One high-profile hard core pornographer, when interviewed, was adamant in his rejection of the traditional western ideal for womanhood, just as Dines rallies against the "woman-hating pro-family" 1950's, on page 4. Another pornographer longed for the days of pagan Rome, which is not far from feminism’s ‘Pre-Patriarchal Matriarchy’ of pagan times. Both sides are opposed to the unassuming 1950's woman, it seems. Given that common foundation, how could exposing "men to a feminist ideology" (p.98) stop them from being attracted to the feminine form? The sociological angle of this book, is radically at odds with the notions most cherished, by past and present feminist thinkers. On page 46, she condemns "...ideoIogies that proclaim porn to be the apogee of empowerment and liberation", vis-a-vis, Feminism. Yet, the pro-porn Feminists, many of whom are making films which balance the pleasures of both parties, have much more solid and sentimentality-free arguments than Dines does, which is a shame, because her heart seems to be in the right place. Is porn immoral? “That doesn’t matter,” claims Dines, “It’s a public health crisis.” I’m not convinced.
