why you think naturally aggressive behavior in anything is important: says a lot about your intention and manifestation, you look for violent problems to defend against with aggressive violence, and in some cases that creates violent situations, I FEEL WE ARE GREAT CREATORS AND WE USUALLY FIND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR! what are you looking for? harmony and cooperation, or aggressive force?

you want to freeze time where you are? you want to negate all the evolution that made you? fear of change? is fear of death! because what was there is not, died. now change. evolving is what is happening? CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG! should we have stopped at the wolf and coyote and never cultivated characteristic at all, whoa the poor pure wolf!! i love your passion and i am just trying to connect and share, please continue, sharing without judging, so nice to connect globally, thank you

I have a White German Shepherd called Bellissima who runs my life.! She is a most beautiful dog. If you think I'm being biased, just look at her. (There are pictures of her on my Channel). At first, I was under the illusion that I was in charge. But soon I realized that it was just a fantasy. She wakes up in the morning shaking herself and let me know that she is ready to start the day. After the morning walk, she gives me a look: "Where is my breakfast? Why are you waiting? Move it, and get me my food." And that's just the start of the day....She can communicate so well with her eyes, and let me know whatever she wants. Bellissima is not only beautiful, but also very intelligent. She knows when I put down my reading glasses and pick up my regular eye glasses, it is time for a walk! And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I also noticed that she barks at some older people, not in an aggressive fashion, but more like warning. After consulting with some experts, I became aware that some dogs may bark because they could smell hormonal imbalance in a person that may be related to a long list of health issue. And some dogs have been trained to detect Covid or other health issues better than any blood test.

I absolutely agree with you. My friend and I are retired import Euro GSD breeders from the USA. I do not like the American GSD. We bred longcoat West German Show from Germany, Poland, and working lines from Czech, and had multiple DDR dogs through the years. In America, it was important that we provided healthy dogs, broad.... but good genetic lines and mentally sound dogs' families could handle. The last thing we wanted was to provide high drive dogs needing more than people could give or handle. Our studs and bitches were all rated and pink papered before we imported them, we did all necessary health and genetic testing. The state, and AKC inspected several times a year. We screened every application and did Not let people choose pups that were Not best for their lifestyle. Everyone had to prove spay and neuter for family pet vs. competition or working dogs but we didn't allow breeding rights. Yes, we did occasionally have straight working litters when we had a list of applicants who met our standards but most were outcrossed litters to diversify the genetics and attempt to better the health of the West Show lines. We produced SAR, Service, Scent detection, very successful competition dogs and herding dogs that had stable temperaments. We bred for 30 years, never advertised but always had a 2 year or more waiting list for pups and never a complaint from buyers. Making money was not why we bred. I kept 5 of my retired dogs when I retired. I believe the reason America has such poor examples is crappy breeding practices and not understanding bloodlines or bringing in new bloodlines. Not understanding that breeding the wrong pair can result in problems for the buyers and NOT breeding dogs that test poorly in x-rays and genetic illnesses or are not mentally sound. It sucks to take a loss on a dog that isn't right for breeding, but it has to be done. You spay/neuter and give it to the right home.

I have a rescue DDR German Shepherd, probably a mix, and I’m speechless. She has something timeless, something mysterious about her, alongside a lively spirit, robustness, and endless stamina. I’ve fallen in love with the breed; it’s incomparable to any other.

My ddr is at 1 1/2, more soft than tough (product of a training facility breeding accident- both ddr). Both parents working dogs, but maybe because he was a singleton (which is why I took him). He has unmatched focus, intelligence, a straight back & athletic.

Hello do you have some breeders recommendations? In Europe many thanks
@kenna.9368Ай бұрын
original DDR dogs were held to an extremely strict standard and training system. DDR GSD of today are not the same DDR the German Military bred to guard the borders over a period of about 40 years 1949ish--1990ish. After the need for them, that same strict military breeding requirement was no longer controlled by the same military that bred them specifically for border guarding. A lot of "breeders" using the DDR label as a selling point. And people not knowing the history, are falling for it and shelving out top dollars. In actuality there are few of those dogs left, and those that are...are likely not 100% DDR

Most cases today, DDR is just used as a selling point for shitty breeders. There are actually very few GSDs with DDR bloodlines, and those that do have it are far from being 100% DDR.

Your giving him the ok to do that they are very clever you obviously don’t want the Dog around people with that way of training him they will train whatever way you want them it’s in the Breed.

The first GSD was a thurgirian shepherd. It wasn’t even technically a GSD . And the thurgirian shepherd was even a species but just a bunch of shepherd dog together .you can be old school but even then none of us have ever seen the true original GSD by the time we where all born a lot of breeding happened the likely hood that we got a straight descendent from the first GSDs are slimmed to none that being said I still think you can improve if you breed for the right purposes which is performance not looks
@joshuaguzman77252 ай бұрын
Idk what you are talking about because GSD was created with mutts basically that no longer exist . All dogs come from a multiple species to be able to get what you want
@joshuaguzman77252 ай бұрын
Diversity based on looks yes it’s not good but had people kept only breeding for performance than having multiple working line which are the west ,east and czech

I been talking to John and he is full of knowledge! He is a great person and feel the passion he has or had for the DDR bloodlines. My feedback is the breeding for money is what destroyed the breed! DDR dogs went to the wrong hands!

There is a man that was working with dogs and I said I want a dog for protection but I am not sure and that I think about a GSD. He just said: if you want to be sure than buy a Rottweiler. 🙂 My wife does not like them (too scary looking) so I found a place in east germany for DDR Shepherds and will get one next year. Guy said I have not to worry about protection.

These are GREAT dogs! Sadly often times people hold on to bloodlines originating in the DDR exclusively and not trying to breed for the characteristics of the dogs themselves. If people don‘t stop that type of breeding behaviour we‘ ll be hard pressed in finding good dogs… honestly we‘re already there today
