If this is anyone's first time hearing Mike Patton, I suggest you look him up and take in the fact that he was in Faith No More, Mr. Bungle , Tomahawk, Hemophiliac, Fantomas, Dillinger Escape Plan, Peeping Tom, Mono Cane, the soundtrack for Crank 2: High Voltage and featured on many albums like Nathaniel Merriweather Presents: Lovage and so many others.

Love the video as that is how my car repair often go!! 2016 Mazda 6, constant reboot with or with out Nav card. Assuming Nav card is causing the issue like you mention in a reply but have a updated used CMU from ebay (sw 74.00 xxx) Do I need to have the Nav card just to boot up and run all the functions other then Nav? Will the updated CMU work with my car as some say the CMU is mated to the car. If I try to use my old NAV card will it screw up my CMU? Thanks and still laugh when watching your vid.

What the FUCK is this shit?? So glad I didn't buy the stupid vinyls just to be disappointed by this. Dodged a bullet with that one. With tracks like this, they could surely release dozens of albums of this worthless garbage, but what's the point, besides just trying to suck their fans of their hard earned money. First the Easter Bunny crap, now this, maybe I can't think of them as my favorite band anymore. What an absolute disappointment.

Interesting advantage this version has over the one that appears on Disco Volante - the instrumentation is in stereo. The old Secret Song (as well as Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz) on every version of DV I've owned was in mono. Always wondered if that was a mistake, hearing this suggests maybe it was.

Yeah, these are pointless. I was hoping for remastered versions of those songs as well as Mr Nice Guy and Thunderball, and anything else possibly recorded during DV and California. I'm guessing this was just a cashgrab done by Warner to charge a ridiculous amount for a set that should have run $75 instead of $140. Hell, I would've loved having liner notes for the three albums, giving more insight into the recording process of each . Maybe a forward by Zorn for the self titled, or testimonials by the guest players like Carla Kilhstedt on California. As time has gone on The Boys have become more and more loathe to speak on the past Bungle albums, I'll hold out hope for one day getting a TRUE Boxset release of these gems, but I wouldn't bet the rent on it.

there's a podcast I've heard where they're talking to Danny and Bär, they give a lot of insight on the early albums, and you can tell by listening to Umlaut how much Bär wrote for the albums. If I can find the link I'll post it

@@lazerbeamhawkins These days, the boys of Bungle, or maybe it's Warner, seem to only wanna release useless shit to the masses and oversell it. It goes against everything they once stood for. But they're walking home with their millions and I am sure they're more comfortable than ever. I wish there interviews in the booklets, pictures, maybe some live recordings of the songs at concerts or what have ya. This just feels like a slap in the face.

I'm almost mad they released these as unreleased tracks. One of them is completely same secret song with Dunn doing different grampa spoken word and this shit is recording of Winnant trying to figure rhythm for Techno Allah, Carry Stress or whatever. I mean what a actual fuck. And both of these are from DV perioid. 2 additional tracks were recorded for California I was expecting those. Man fuck this. Thanks for upload though lol

but they got a load of extra vinyl sales from people already owning the MOV or WB pressings... they made bank. and now they can still do another special release with some actual worthy content and we pay all over again :) honestly, you can't expect much better with what Thrash Bungle has been wringing for the last four years. at least now that's apparently over and they can go back to making great new music. #VOTEHOLYVEHM

Is there anywhere online where anyone talks about these 2 additional California tracks? I was hanging out with Trey a bunch in the early 2000s when SC3 would do residencies in NYC, but for some reason never thought to ask about the extra California stuff. I think it was because the break up was still kind of fresh at the time.

On the vinyl boxset they put this Alternate mix, wich mostly lefts out the OldManDunn voice. (and its closer to how they played it live) at the end of California.

Received the new one. Feels more sturdy- the throttle doesn’t feel loose like a lubed up pool noodle anymore. Maybe they’ve improved the recent batches? I’ll see what happens.
