What a great drive! Spacious streets; multi-use paths and roundabouts. The place is lovely, clean and bright, with lots of genuine character in the mid-rise architecture. I love that it's not been overtaken by huge, charmless glass and steel buildings. Hope to get there someday.

Yes, I agree! I like the architecture in Oslo. There are modern and boring buildings here and there as well, especially downtown. But many of the modern buildings are also a bit fun and interesting to look at. There is an area called Barcode, for example, with a few cool modern buildings

G'day. The way I read it is that you are an accident waiting to happen going that quick on icy roads. BUT, I come from a dry continent where I don't drive in those conditions so to me they look like something I wouldn't want to drive in anyway and I can't understand why you go so quick. Do you have special sort of treads or grips or spikes in your tyres to stop from skating? I must admit though it does look nice, cold and wet but nice and different and yet it has a certain magnificance about the whole terrain. That is some road and the tunnels, amazing. I reckon I would leave a love bite in the seat if I was travelling on that road.

We use studded or winter tires without studs in Norway, typically motorways like that are usually salted too. This was a surprise blizzard that hit much harder than expected in January though, and left well over a metre of snow in much of Southern Norway. The speed limit is 100 km/h, but in many points of the video you can see the uploader, and other motorists slow down well below that, a lot of it looks like 70 or 80 to me. The most important thing is to maintain distance from the car in front, and leave sufficient braking length between you and the other car.
