Nice demo! FYI, just a friendly note that you say "go ahead and" a LOT. It gets really repetitive, so maybe it could help the channel if y our language is more varied? Only trying to help here, it's no criticism at all.

@straighttalk2069
@straighttalk2069 22 күн бұрын
@@ProdByThatGuyFace Yeah, I should have added my personal preference is synths with a lot more modulation, envelopes, LFO's and a large MOD Matrix. Vital and Surge XT, have raised the bar and are now benchmarks and they're free. I've still bought some excellent synths on sale over the last year or so like FM8 $8, Massive $10, then more recent synths like F.'em, BioTek 2, Waverazor, MYTH ,Kult, Moog Mariana and more between the $45 to $65 range. So although Vacuum Pro sounds good the competition is tough.
@esahm373
@esahm373 17 күн бұрын
@@straighttalk2069 Both Vital and Surge XT sound sterile af. Don't get me wrong: they are sophisticated synths in terms of modulation options and usability, but the sound is just not there.
@straighttalk2069
@straighttalk2069 16 күн бұрын
@@esahm373 I find that the words Warm, Sterile and character are extremely overused, overrated and very subjective. It's not hard to make Vital or Surge-XT sound great with the powerful controls they both contain.
@esahm373
@esahm373 16 күн бұрын
@@straighttalk2069 They are certainly overused. At the same time they certainly refer to distinct sonic characteristics. Vital and Surge (I use them btw and have created plenty of presets for them) certainly lack those characteristics. In Surge you can get closer to analog by increasing OSC Drift and Noise + using classical waveforms, but it’s still miles away from a good analog model. It’s not a matter of modulation options, it’s a matter of modelling of OSC and filter intricacies characteristic to analog circuits! What I hear in the video sounds much closer to analog. I guess if you are into generic EDM-type music, as opposed to being someone who appreciates the beauty of sound fidelity, you won‘t care anyway.

Just like you mentioned my mix was already sounding good then I said to myself lets see what all the hype is about. And lo and behold after all the other tape emulation plugins I used in the past this one just have that next level it factor. It just took the already good mix and instantly made it shine. I don’t know what’s under the hood but I don’t give a damn it just sounds like a record. I missed the last great sale it was going for 40 bucks now with a coupon I think 60 something.anyway after October 1st it’s back to $300 Something which is freakin ridiculous but you UA.

sorry Im new to these tape machine can you let me know why we want to use it? for all type of music? and I needs to be used before the limiter in the mastering chain?
@ProdByThatGuyFace
@ProdByThatGuyFace Ай бұрын
I look at it like cooking. I can cook fish 10 different ways with different seasonings but its still fish. Tape plugins give your music a certain flavor. But, I don't always use tape. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't just like some seasonings work on certain dishes but not so much on others. Usually tape will be at the end of the mastering chain before the limiter but you just have to try different chains and find what works for your music and sounds good to you.
