Thanks for the feedback. :-) A lot of info to cover and I find most people don't watch a video like this for over two minutes. I usually run it twice in case someone missed a date. The guide has so much info this week, that I only had it scroll once. ;-)

Bard wrote both scripts. I got the idea after I asked it to do the weather as George Washington. It came back with, "Hear Ye, Hear Ye..." etc. Oh, I figured you can use Bard to create a "Sports Ticker" scrolling on the screen during your podcasts. People love getting information when it's convenient. Thanks for the comment.

Yup. The cameras inside the Quest Pro ($1,500) headset pickup your facial expressions and eye movements. They dropped the price to $999.99 but, everyone is buying the new Quest 3 ($499.99). I'm still thinking of buying one in the next few days. The Quest 3 does not have the eye tracking though. There are other headsets that have the facial cameras too, but the price point is too high for me. I put sunglasses on my avatar because Meta hasn't figured out the default eye movements.

- The VR community will rebuild that again in new ways. It had so many joys, so much fascinating learning and personal growth, and laugh-till-you-can't-breathe experiences. ◘ I was able to 'be' black in AltSpace, and was treated accordingly, gaining better understanding of it. ◘ I was able to be young again, and be treated accordingly, feel young again - which I very happily carried out to the real world as well as in AltSpace. ◘ I'm changed because of AltSpace. Wiser, happier. It doesn't 'belong to' AltSpace, it's simply the obvious happinesses that VR can bring. - And there'll be even more of it as the world wakes up to VR, with more choices of avatars, higher resolutions, more contexts, more groups and their events, etc. - Thank you, JoeSneaker, for sustaining the experience with beautiful videos keeping it alive until it catches up with us again. - Again, don't think AltSpace was the only source of it. Rather, AltSpace forever revealed the potential of a caring, positive, creative VR community, just like the real-life similar families and groups and communities we have always loved being in - but also able to transcend physical limits of distance and bodies.

Well said, Gentlemen! AltSpace was my first real experience with VR and the Metaverse where we got together as adults and created the whole culture. It wasn't influenced by big "megabucks" corporations like Meta. I like the avatars in Horizon, but they seem to be pushing a family arcade experience rather than a social / mingle experience. I've been to a few of the bars, but I guess they will get better with time. The main problem is people having trouble bringing music into the platform. Anyway, the best part of AltSpace (for me) was the avatars. I LOVE the way the eyes looked at the camera and other avatars. Horizon's avatar eyes look creepy, so I'm starting to put sunglasses on them.

Yup. VR Chat avatars can do more than other platforms. They allow developers to be themselves. The worst platform is Horizon Worlds where they try to control everything. They don't want VR to be an experience, they want the whole virtual world to be an action game.

Well said. I also miss the connection to a peaceful universe that VR provided in AltSpace. It seemed more "real" because it wasn't based on video games (like Horizon is trying to do). I've found some cool worlds in VR Chat, so I may post more videos from that platform.

Some outfits have a price, but I stick with the free ones.
