This was probably the worst season of Parcells' coaching career - the only time one of his teams drastically underachieved and underperformed their talent level. I remember him being at his wits' end most of the time and he readily admitted that he didn't have any good answers as to why his team, expected to win the AFC East that season, stunk so badly.

Bengals had started using their full-game no-huddle offense a few weeks prior. They aren’t great at it yet - you can see them miss some opportunities in this game - but by the next year they’d have this new system running more smoothly.

Russell gets in on that 3rd down goal line run. I noticed they showed zero replays of it. And then the safety right after…

Imagine having Troy Brown as your third or fourth receiver. Yikes that was a good offense.

Thanks for the upload, I must have watched this live broadcast because I keep calling the big plays. FWIW, re-uploading this video with a different file type (mp4 vs mwv) might fix the audio misalignment, but I’m not sure how to correct the aspect ratio 👍

They used to miss more extra points back then. Now usually they get the extra points even though there are still many missed field goals. I mean NFL in general not any particular team.

2:11:50 All men are created equal........unless you have your own shoe contract. Replay reducing the NFL down to the NBA. Next year, the Tuck-rule playoff game will reduce it to the WWF.........that you can legally place bets on the outcome. Sad.

I never watched a Patriots game, only the scores from the late 80's and early 90's (until now). I now see why they had so many losing seasons and were the laughingstock of the NFL

It's so sad that NFL fans are such Blind Mice. Ignorant masses don't realize that football is a multi-billion-dollar betting industry. These referees get paid to either throw Flags or ignore penalties. Rodger Goodell gleans from the cream on the top of the money pile. It is painfully obvious Goodell is corrupt. Just look at deflategate. Or even the Lions game against the Cowboys where the two players checked in as eligible with the referee in the very next play they were thrown a flag for ineligible players the whole world saw it. The announcers are not allowed to point out any corruption or they will be fired. The whole NFL is corrupt. I am proud to say I have never spent one red Cent on a football game

Damn, the defense in this era was great. Especially the corners. Their tracking was just beautiful to watch. That Poole interception is a master class. And that Brady throw to Branch in the end is one of my top 5 Tom Brady throws. It is perfection. Edit: that one commenter was just fawning over Fiddler and the Dolphins. "Nothing to lose..., A smart move, Just like a punt, He did a great job"😂😂😂 More like a Hail Mary and a wasted opportunity. At least the other one acknowledged that Poole interception.
