1003, KHW 309E has a city axle, with a leyland O.680 and will do about 50 mph flat out. My former employer used to own it. The vehicle I used to own 1071 OHU 770F, has a country axle, with the same engine and would happily sit at 55 all day long! In fact it did once, from Bristol to Blackpool and back in a day!

well im from the foxfield railway, no we dont run passengers on the 1 in 19 grade yet but opening is near, we also have a miniature railway which as it happens also has a bank of around 1 in 20, this is a passenger working line, so your not the only ones.

debatable, depends how accurate the measurement of 1in20 is, as the Foxfield Railway have a section of 1in19...
