Thank you for posting this. Ypu are amzing to share. My daughters used 2018 elantra is throwing P0017. 5NPD84LF3JH319107, unfortunately, out of warranty. She c Three questions: is the tool/software you use to show the actual data.the Hyundai GDS or is it something something else? How can a “regular” person get access to this? Two, if the car is otherwise, running smoothly (no hestitations, stalls, etc), does this likely point to the sensors as opposed to the more difficult fixes. Three, where can i find the exact part numbers for the two sensors from hyundai themselves? Years ago i think the tech manuals were visible online, but not any more. I think the first mechanic she went to wanted to charge nearly $275 each just for parts, and another $250+ labor. Sounds like they just want to swap out the parts without any real diagnostic if you ask me. I feel helpless because I can’t help her personally. Otherwise I would do exactly what you did.

Part numbers are 243752E100 exhaust and 243552E100 intake. Any diag machine (autel, launch, span-on, etc) even a simple obd2 dongle and torque can see live data.

My 2015 i20 has no such panels that conveniently just pull out. It's all one panel that won't unscrew.

@bobanob-q2u this video is for ix20 specifically. On i20 you need to remove wipers blades arms, disconnect washers hose, 4 or 5 clips, then remove the trim completely

Hi George, i do have a problem with transmission maybe mechanics also didn't say anything, so the problem is when the car slows down with breaks or without doesn't matter some times there is some noise under the hood and it's shaking under the hood not the car i don't know what's the problem when im pushing the gas the gear changes good only when im stopping this noise i got and when im fully stopped also on noise like some thing hits what do you think ?

Drain gearbox oil and check it, refill gearbox with ATF oil, carry out relearn and road test it again. If still does, it will require gearbox to be removed and stripped.

Salut George, am schimbat uleiul din cutie și sunetul tot a rămas( ..gen ștergător pe parbriz semiuscat -pt cam o secundă / două dar numai în frânarea mașinii ) Este adevărat ca pare să nu mai facă așa de des dar tot este..🫤.. uleiul care a fost în cutie nu avea pilitura în el Cutia schimbă ce-i drept mult mai fin și se vede o îmbunătățire( am mers cam 300 mile) Crezi ca poate fi ceva din frânare regenerativă sau tot spre ambreiaj ar fi problema De curând am observat o uzură pe rola întinzătoare dar cureaua este ok Uleiul nou l-am luat de la reprezentanta Kia/ nu scria pe el ATF ci MTF DCTF GL4 dar au zis ca este singurul pt cutie de ei Mulțumesc

@BogdanPana-s1l ATF este o recomandare care o face cei de la tehnic sa vedem daca este problema de uzura in cutie, si cei de la parts nu stiu de asa ceva. Ai schimbat si lichidul de frana din ambreiajul de cuplaj dintre motorul termic si electric? Ala de obicei se face pamant si cand cupleaza/decupleaza motorul electric de cel termic pot aparea zgomote dubioase

Hello, I have an 2016 Optima 7 speed DCT With two fault codes: P073E73 Unable To Engage(Shift) Reverse Gear And P192177 Gear 2 System Referencing Failure Only 1,3,5 and 7 gears available, do you have experience from these? My guess the fork or the cltch vefore diving in

@@teemubjorkbacka7714 remove gear selector and do an actuation test for each gear, then with a screwdriver try to move the lugs on at a time each gear

eroare poate sa dea si din alte cauze, senzori temperatura care citesc incorect, temperatatura apa mai mica decat trebuie, apasat pe ambreiaj, frana sau acceleratie din greseala. Iesi cu masina la plimbare si vezi daca iti mai da eroare, si nu uita sa resetezi adaptive values

Your fault code is referring to clutch actuator motor, so you need to make sure the wiring is good and if all ok, new motor for the clutch actuator.

@@danielgazdac-yb8dm salut, regenerari prea dese sau incomplete or sa creasca nivelul la ulei. Verifica soot content cat este de mare. Au mai fost cazuri foarte rare (eu nu am intalnit inca nici unul) sa ajunga motorina in ulei pe la pompa de injectie. Dar cel mai probabil, dpf este infundat si face regenerari foarte dese si de aici problema ta.

@@GicaPhp you’d figure if turbo was gone car wouldn’t have power period, and a lot of smoke should come out to the exhaust, instead first few gear the car is fine, same thing first few gear there isn’t much of a loss or noise at all, that makes me think i got a bad intercooler, got to have a leak somewhere that gets worst at higher rpm when turbo requires mire air, am i right ?

ecu is smart enough to adjust fuel quantity for an air leak so not likely to see smoke unless it gone really bad. Just squeeze a turbo hose and rev the engine, if the hose get hard, you have boost. Now if the boost asked by ecu is not achieved in a specific time, underboost fault code can be set. Underboost can be cause by intake air leak, exhaust partially blocked, bad turbo vgt or wastegate control, bad map sensor or even maf sensor.

@@GicaPhp sensors would give me different code tho..i checked the wastegate, seems fine to me , checked for leak didn’t see any but as well i don’t have a smoke machine so i can’t know for sure..turbo has pressure cause i can hear it and feel it fine first couple gears, it gets chocked by something when more air is required…

I have s 2015 elantra 1.8 L. It stalled on me this morning. It started up nice, and when I took it from park to reverse, the engine stalled. Couldn't start it back up until i tried again a few hours later. Last time it did this was 3 months ago but that time the car started shaking when before it stalled after trying to put it in reverse from park. No error codes or check engine lights. Any idea?

Hi there. Hyundai only changed the clutch on my hyundai tucson due to juddering They didnt change the fly wheel or anything else. When i got it back it juddered quite badly again once. Is this normal? Does it need to be worn in? Or should they have also changed the fly wheel? Whats your thoughts on this? Many thanks

@YianniMichael there is an improvement clutch pack, just go back and tell them still judders. The flywheel does not cause judder, just rattling noise

Hi There. As a 15 year Hyundai service master can tell you this. Change flywheel or check its flatness. if it got hot and surface is not even you can change as many clutches as you want. Your new clutch will be preset to a uneven surface and there will be judders.

@mindaugastrumpaitis6330 on dct, the clutch pack contains both flywheels for odd and even gear and can not be separated. The connecting flywheel is a toothed flywheel that just makes a connection between engine and clutch pack, like a masive splined shaft.

@YianniMichael the clutch pack is a complete unit made of 2 flywheels, 2 clutch discs, and 2 pressure plates. The connecting flywheel/ring gear it will not cause judder.

That was quickly done. How do you know you did not over tighten the nuts & bolts? Is there no need for new lubrication on the part of the axle that slides into the hub/wheel bearing part?

if you don't know how much to troque the bolts, get a torque wrench and follow service manual for correct torque settings
