Right next door. Getting ready to go see Starship flight 7 on Jan 11, 2025.. I plan to be at Raptor Roost to watch Starship flight 7. Here is my trip to Raptor Roost, SpaceX, Starbase, and Base Camp Zero to watch the Starship Flight 5. A visit to Starbase to see the Historic Starship 5 at Boca Chica, TX. This has to be the new Space Center of Texas. It's an amazing place. Here is some of what you will see. "kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJmqpYBriZd3hNksi=24_vlowR1UfyKYeX"

Headed out there in Feb to hit this trail, stay at Guale 2 (thank you for that video), and see others. I have a Power Wagon on 35’s; any trails you’d recommend w fun climbs? Will be accompanied by a JK.

Isn't there a better way to get to the VLA other than driving on a gravel road for an hour?

do you have to worry about high tide coming in and washing your truck away?

Yes. Depending on tide cycle and weather where you can camp can change a lot.

Just came back from Rincon 1 about 2 weeks ago. The drop into Fresno Canyon is MUCH worse than when you went. I would not try it AT ALL anymore. Talked to the rangers on the way out and they said they are talking about it.

How is the drive there? I’m considering this camp site but worried about fuel. Is the campsite far from the entrance of big bend?
@woofthebeatenpathadventure3596
@woofthebeatenpathadventure3596 Жыл бұрын
Yes it is far, and fuel is a concern, depending on how much your vehicle uses. Best bet is to call the ranger station at 432) 229-3613 and discuss your plans. They're happy to advise!

Oh man, the dome mountain you see as you near the campsite brings back memories. Super windy since the site is atop an exposed cliff, but one of the best campsite views at BBRSP imho, and stunning sunsets and night skies. There are a TON of Sonoran sandburr seeds (I think) around there, hopefully your doggo didn't step on too many!

Is that last shot of the stars real? I’ve never been to big bend. I live in Houston and when I tell you I have not seen stars in over 20 years I am not lying. Just a few dots in the sky nothing like that. We had wanted to reserve something in the national park but nothing available. We plan to spend Christmas there just me and my husband and the dog. He as a 4x4 jeep rubicon with a lift and bigger tires. I’m hoping that will work. I read something about a waterfall but can’t find any videos. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Yes it's absolutely real. Granted though, a camera on a tripod, set to long exposure, can capture more than what the naked eye can see at any one time. Your rig would do just fine! Just be sure to carry extra spare and fuel. Here's a video on driving to the Chorro vista campsite, where you can access the Madrid Falls trail kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpSlaJmkeb-Kj5ofeature=shared. Thanks for watching and have a great trip!

@@georgedorame909 Not that sort of oddity but I've seen what might have been a bigfoot and many other people have seen the same thing. Being as there are no known bipedal animals wondering about there it seems other than a black bear walking for a rather long time on it's hind legs it could be real.
