Roland! Roland actually makes a pretty good piano sounding keyboard! This one was a Roland FP-30. Not a real expensive keyboard at all and it has strings and electric keys. The only think I don't like is you have to push a key-combination to change to different programs once you get past piano/electric/ and strings. However, it is inexpensive!

Hey PianoImprov! Yes, I play by so called ear, however I do read music! I started out reading music and learning to play piano and as the years went on I had friends that played by ear and that motivated me to learn how to play by ear! It was difficult at first until I started hearing the patterns and recognizing the intervals that I had already been trained to know.
