How do you make it sound like that on 2:28? I know you’re mallet dampening at the end of the run, but it looks like you’re pressing the pedal multiple times

Not quite sure what you mean - I'm really only mallet dampening in a couple of key places (half note dissonances). Let me know if that's helpful...

it kinda looked like you were doing a pitch bend in parts of the piece , like measure 17 and 18 . 1:32 or so in the video

he was simply muting the A-flat and moving to the G during those parts
