Oh man that fit's suspension looks so unsettled after hitting bumps...Do you know what shocks he's using or if he's on stock setup?
@RobertsonRacing11 ай бұрын
Yeah we talked with him about it - he does have coilovers but I'm unsure the brand.

Hey, i'm gonna fit some hood vents on a Renault 4 because of overheating issues. Do I understand correctly that they should be installed in low pressure areas and that those area's are the same as the areas with the most detached flow? Greetings from the Netherlands!
@RobertsonRacing Жыл бұрын
Totally missed this: sorry! Low pressure won't be the same as detached flow all the time. These particular vents create the detached flow/drag. Best to put the vents where the difference in pressure, from the top to the bottom of the hood, is the greatest.

I spin on race tracks all the time this is no big deal. It’s safe because of the low speed and you don’t have a wall you could hit or a dip that could flip your car. If you’ve never spun your car then you never driven you car to the edge and over. Learning experience

Is the Sundae Cup car faster than a BSpec car?
@RobertsonRacing Жыл бұрын
Hard to say - some of the b-specs are power restricted, and use slicks, but they are also restricted to spring rates, etc. Full b-spec prepped cars are welcome to compete with Sundae Cup with only a tire change required.

Cant believe that instructor accpeted that passenger seat. I would never accept less safety than the driver.
@gvandiv1 Жыл бұрын
Looks like the instructor has a harness but no Hans also. Driver did a nice job of just driving off track and not making the slide worse. Not sure why the instructor didn’t point the drive off.

@@RobertsonRacing it was an absolute blast - I ended up 6th out of 22 in Novice Street - in a stock vehicle with tires that carry a 400 tread rating (there's a somewhat aggressive alignment coming up in the near future) kzbin.info/www/bejne/onWbe3d9jqaWaZI

I've been looking for a solution to all that lead acid weight for summer driving (it still gets to -40 here in the dead of winter in western Canada so I'm not to sure about getting rid of my stock battery completely just yet) and the occasional track time. About the only question you didn't answer is how thick the aluminium plate? but i'm going to take guess at 1/8". The unit does look amazing though.
@RobertsonRacing2 жыл бұрын
the plate we added was probably right around 1/8", yeah. The Valkyrie Engineering mount kit on it's own is super strong - just put the bottom plate to clear that lip on the oem battery tray.
