Quick question, i have the x32 producer, and i have the additional SD card expansion- so my question is - is it possible to record to the SD card with effects and EQ Also being recorded with out using a DAW? Please say yes and if so, how to set it up thx 🙏🏾
@EdMcCraeMusic
@EdMcCraeMusic 13 сағат бұрын
@@IMakeBeats I believe so! You can typically record the main mix to the card. I don’t remember the routing off hand, but I would recommend taking a look at your routing table.

@@EdMcCraeMusic Thanks for responding... I've been asking this question for about a yr now and no one seems to have a tutorial explaining the correct routing setup to make this happen... I'm not a DAW user, I want to be able to completely mix and master right in the mixer standalone... Hope you do a video showing how this is setup up... Everyone on KZbin only speaks from the DAW side and never covers the standalone side of routing Effects, Compression, EQ ETC to all be captured to the SD card multi track recording...

Ed I am confused! When I worked in studios we bounced when there were a number of tracks to put together onto one track. Your demonstration of bouncing was only one track, and could be done easier by selecting a section of a track in Ableton or Cubase copying and dropping onto a new track surely? To blend the effects simply freeze etc. Unless this option is available for multiple tracks going down onto one track, I cannot see the point so please enlighten me. Thanks.
@EdMcCraeMusic
@EdMcCraeMusic 9 күн бұрын
Hi Rob! So the goal in this case isn’t to comp multiple tracks into 1, it’s to bounce down a version of the track with whatever the plugins were doing printed onto it. Freezing is also an option but you technically still need the plugin on the track for it to work. If for some reason you lose access to the plugin it won’t work. Think of it as a more permanent version of freezing.

I asked Grok AI to summarize your notes for UAD so hopefully we can submit these as feature requests! "Suggestions for Improvement Mentioned: For the bounce feature, the user suggested that the bounce settings should automatically appear when choosing to bounce a track in place, similar to how it works for session-wide bounces. For track presets, there's a desire for more granular control over what aspects of the channel (like sends, track name, color) are saved or loaded with the preset. These updates are significant for Luna users, enhancing workflow efficiency by allowing for quicker setup and management of sessions with complex plugin chains or when needing to conserve processing resources."

That was a really great video! I like how you explained and demonstrated all those features. The Luna 1.8 update is impressive, especially how they’ve implemented those features. You can also drag the track presets from the browser window onto a track or next to a track and it will create that track or bus automatically. By the way, you mentioned Logic a few times. Which one do you prefer to record vocals, edit, and mix in, Luna or Logic?

I love the look of Luna , it's pretty, but for me , unless I can create orchestral midi music, with all the scale and chord tools availabe in cubase and Studio one and to a lesser extent Logic Pro, I cannot move over. I wonder if you can save 8 tracks loaded with plug in instruments , like a string section and save that as a preset like you can in S1. I am not sure that UA are focused on midi , Luna seems to shine when used for tracking and production . Otherwise I like the look and feel of Luna

If they are through a send then no. You would need to solo what you want and bounce a stem. If you put the reverb or delays directly on the track you're bouncing in place then yes.
