Just as Jesus was very popular healing the sick, discerning spirits and diseases, so was Brother Branham. The Holy Spirit commissioned him in 1946 to begin a ministry of healing and deliverance to the world. Hundreds of thousands, maybe several million souls were saved, healed and delivered. A fulfillment of John 14:12. But when Jesus started preaching doctrine (me and my Father are one; before Abraham was, I am; unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in you) he was rejected. So was William Branham rejected in his doctrine on Serpent Seed, water baptism, the Godhead, women preachers, marriage and divorce, etc. I have believed and accepted (since I was 17 in 1980) his ministry to be genuinely of God and a fulfillment of scripture regarding the coming of the spirit of Elijah in Malachi 4:5-6 and Matthew 17:1-11. I also believe he was the angel (messenger) to the Laodician Church in Revelation 3. I am convinced he was the vessel God used to fulfill these scriptures!
